FR: Opened my First Set After Divorse
Finally after being divorsed for three years I decided to go out for the first time, took me forever and I felt rusty but hey, it just had to be done. I went out to a local Ale House here in North Florida, with a friend from work. I was planning to open a single or a two set
after a beer or two, but right after we found a table and ordered a couple of beers we spotted this two asian hotties (8 and an 8.5) drinking with a very young guy (asian as well). My buddy pointed out that he looked like one of the guys in the show "Heroes" (which Ive never seen) but the fact that he said that sparked a plan in my head so I stood up and approached the table. I started talking to him following style's advice in "The Game".
ME: Hey man, sorry to interrupt but I just have to ask this. Are you the guy in the show "Heroes"
The girls started laughing, he was laughing as well.
GUY: No man (laughing) why? do i look like him?
ME: Oh man, -acting somewhat embarrased- my friend there told me you were in the show. Now I see he totally set
me up. He must be having a great time thinking he totally fooled myself.
HB8.5: Oh dont worry about it that was too funny.
ME: Sure it was funny to you cause you weren't the one being tricked.
HB8: Laughing loud: I totally wanna see that show. Is there really a guy who looks like my brother?
- Here I got the answer I was looking for: How where they related to this guy. Knowing this and since the girls looked really confortable and having fun I decided to continue:
ME: I have an idea to get back at him. But I need your help girls. -Both seemed interested- You see this guy is very shy (My friend from work is indeed very shy and he was barely looking at us) If you guys come with me for a second and let me introduce you to him he will probably pee in his pants. Then I turned to the guy: I hope you dont mind me borrowing your sis and her friend for a bit bro. Do you?
Guy: No, not at all go for it.
HB8.5 Seemed really into it, she asked my friends name.
I offered both girls my arms. HB8.5 held it. HB8 didn't but she walked close to me.
While walking to my friend I started realizing that it was my first time interacting with girls in a long time and even when Ive read my share of books. Heard lots of audios and seen plenty of videos in the last two months, field practice is extremely important. I could feel my confidence vanishing and nervousness taking over when we finally made it to the table. On top of all this, my friend from work, Alex, is a cool dude but as I said extremely shy and defenetly more interested into looking at girls from the distance than in becoming my wing
.
Me: Girls, this is Alex.
HB
s at the same time: Hi Alex
Alex was mute looking at me like I was a magician or something. He didnt say a word.
I really got nervous here since I didnt really knew what to do, but I tried to keep my cool and remembered one of Style's transitions.
Me: So how you guys know each other?
HB8.5: We are best friends-she said hugging HB8 who started looking somewhat unconfortable.
This came as a great chance for me to do "Best friends test" which I did trying to hide my nervousness. It worked just okey. HB8.5 enjoyed a lot: It is so cool she said, and she high five me. HB8 didnt say a word and started looking everywhere but at me and pulling HB8.5
HB8.5: My friend wants to go back to our table her boyfriend will show up at any minute.
Here I made a stupid move grrrrr I asked them to sit down at our table. Totally stupid... cause they both said they couldnt, looking at the lonely guy at their table. They left laughing and I thought about number closing HB8.5 wich I could probably do, but I was feeling stupid about asking them to sit with us, when I knew they were not going to doit. I waived them bye and went back to my beer.
I will be going out next weekend and I am planning to open at least two set
s this time. Please give me some advice it is not easy for me to do this after being away from the scene for so long. How ever I have decided to master it or to die trying.
NOTE: English is my second language so excuse my spelling and grammar.
