What was the glory period for ASF
(alt.seduction.fast )?
From the best that I could figure (and I know Cliff would know this better) it was from about 2001-2004.
That seems to be the period when the people whom we now all admire were most prolific on there. I downloaded some of the old postings from the archive on fastseduction.com and began reading them. It is something like a time machine to read the mPUA's whom we most admire writing with a certain excited innocence. All those posts were written before Neil wrote his book. The community was still a secret known only to those who had discovered usenet. I discovered IRC in 1996, and wasted too much time on that for about a year. I feel genuinely frustrated that I did not discover alt.seduction.fast. I think about how my life might have been different had I learned this stuff that long ago instead of now. I have read and posted on another, forum style site for PUA, and it seems to have a very poor signal to noise ratio: too many noob questions; too many oneitis help requests. This is the only site I have found which has that informal sharing quality. Yes, I feel regret that I have come to all this in what I feel is too late. The great mPUAs/ PUA-Gurus are not as accessible as just regular guys anymore.
Style says over and over again that it took him between a year and two years to master this. Of course, despite his original nerdiness, he was/is high IQ. I figure the key to mastering all of this is a combination of learning from experts and going out sarging at least three nights a week, and one day of day game a week. It is only through constant practice that one gets to that moment where no individual girl is important, but that the process and patterns emerge. You also need, in parallel to have a model or structure to guide your practice. I have also come to see how having the right Wing can make all the difference. having someone to bounce ideas off of, and to debrief with after each sarging/in field outing is crucial. The real learning comes from that post-game analysis.
My plan is still, to continue to practice with my Wing; to organize a small community/lair here in South Florida; to take the Mystery/Matador seminar; and then to take any seminars run by Hypnotica.

It`s just begun
This here is how it could be... it may not, but it`s attempt at a surgestion for a future scenario, and it is of course so speculative, but it`s been a good little fun thing to philosophise about : ) ...I know that a big part of many of the methods build on naturalistic theories of evolution, and I will not be one to deny the biological part of the human animal, but that being said it all takes place in culture which is ever changing, and really fast in these times as well, so for the hole PU
culture to keep up it too must change, the methods must adapt through the times... imagine throwing a neg in victorian England... don`t think that would have won much attraction from the girl... and in 10 years throwing a neg may make you the most corny afc
ever.. symbolic meaning will indisputably be, atleast to a degree, culturally determined, and the way it looks seems to me that maybe our cortex is more and more, not actually overriding, but in the loops which its parts form with more anchient parts of our biology, will be creating new acting in the world, and of that world importently of course the game... then we should see all these founding geniouses Mystery.. Ross J.. Style.. back and even sparring in some new form of creative vault, and maybe we will even get to be a part of this... There you go, the golden age of pick up is yet to come : ) it`s such a speculative thing I know... but one thing I feel certain of is that people will change with culture, I mean we`ll have the same brain we`ve had for 30000 years, but that organ is a pretty fucking amazing organ, and just how plastic it is we do not know... so think of the difference of growing up in the sixties and growing up now, and the difference between the generations.. a friend of mine told his daughter a little while ago that he did not have a tv when he was her age, she said, "wow, what did you do, just play computer then?" it`s a complete difference in mindset between the two.. and that is just technology, ways of interaction have changed too... I`m rambling on here... I actually just thought your report here was a good one that many probably think about in one form or the other, and i wanted to offer this speculative, yet not completely unimaginable, future scenario, in which you may actually become the guru : )

Though emphazising earlier that I was speculating I just have to say... I`m not sure I should have written that the neg would not have created attraction in victorian England as it is quite possible that it would have, it certainly would have been a sign of autenticity, the girl would have had to give one that.. but I was thinking of the whole courting process back then, how diffent it was... here is a nice little introsite, imagine this for a method : ) www.literary-liaisons.com/article009.html
