Seduction Community Lingo

The pick-up community has invented a language of its own to quickly communicate concepts, and has borrowed other words from associated domains such as psychology and NLP. Here is a list of common terms and acronyms.

Stands for Number Close. One of many end games to an interaction, when one gets the girl's phone number.

Stands for Kiss Close. One of many end games to an interaction, when one makes out with the girl.

Stands for E-Mail Close. One of many end games to an interaction, when one gets the girl's e-mail address.

A

AFC
Stands for Average Frustrated Chump. A "nice" guy devoid of pick-up skills, unaware of his true role and opportunities in mating rituals; tends to beg for sex, attention and esteem from women.

AMOG
Stands for Alpha Male Other Guy. Either a guy trying to overgame you out of a set, or the techniques used to throw someone else out of a set.

ASD
Stands for Anti-Slut Defense. An effort by the woman to appear like a sexually hard-to-get worthy person and not a promiscous woman with low (self-)value.

ASF
Stands for alt.seduction.fast. An unmoderated newsgroup where seduction is discussed.

ASFers
Stands for alt.seduction.fast readers. Participants to a popular unmoderated newsgroup where seduction is discussed.

B

BAFC
Stands for Below AFC. A particularly unsuccessful AFC.

BF
Stands for Boyfriend.

BL
Stands for Body Language. What your posture, movements and stance communicate.

BLP
Stands for Body Language Positioning. Situational use of body language in a strategic way to obtain compliance, establish dominance, and generally advance the seduction process.

BT
Stands for Buying Temperature. A woman's willingness to feel attraction for someone, either you or someone else. This buying temperature can be shifted to others, transferred from others, lost, or spiked (raised quickly).

C

C&F
Stands for Cocky and Funny. Expression of proud self-confidence, combined with teasing and flippant humour; particularly central to DYD teachings.

Convo
Stands for Conversation. A crafted, relaxed interaction.

D

DDB
Stands for Doggy-Dog Bowl. The short, silent, suspended-consciousness moment women have when they are suddenly ready for a kiss or a very forward approach. Not unlike the brief moment of elated shock a dog may have when offered a surprise plate of his favourite food.

DHV
Stands for Demonstration of Higher Value. Communication or sub-communication to the effect that one has attractive and valuable traits; can be done through actions or stories.

DLV
Stands for Demonstration of Lesser Value. Communication or sub-communication to the effect that one has unattractive or less valuable traits; can be done through actions or stories.

DYD
Stands for Double-Your-Dating. A seduction school centered around the teachings of David DeAngelo.

E

EC
Stands for Eye Contact. Meaningful or accidental exchange of glances.

ESP
Stands for Extra-Sensory Perception. Variously used to mean: 1) A common routine proposed by Mystery; 2) A profound intuitive connection; 3) Perception through unexplained means.

EV
Stands for Eliciting Values. Extract the values that are central to a person's perception of what matters in their world.

F

FB
Stands for Fuck Buddy. A girl with whom you are having sex outside of any expectation of a relationship.

FMAC
Stands for Find, Meet, Attract, Close. In Mystery's original system, the four discrete steps of a pick-up: first to locate a qualified target, second to enter into an interaction, third to build attraction, and last to get the desired result (be it a number, a kiss, or a lay). A lot of Mystery's techniques have echoes in the tried-and-true world of personal sales (think Glengarry Glen Ross). In this case, this closely resembles the classic model of Prospecting, Selecting, Engaging, Presenting and Closing.

FR
Stands for Field Report. Basic teaching and sharing tool of the community, a detailed description of events, people and interactions.

FTOW
Stands for Fuck 10 Other Women. An often-proposed solution to a oneitis or a paralyzing tendency to avoid future interactions by over-analyzing a failure.

FU
Stands for Fuck-Up Report. Basic teaching and sharing tool of the community, a detailed description of events, people and interactions having lead to an unsuccessful conclusion.

FUG
Stands for Fucking Ugly Girl. The least attractive girl you can imagine.

G

GF
Stands for Girlfriend.

Groupset
A group of people with which one aims to interact.

H

Harem
Group of women, each of whom you have an ongoing serious relationship with; differs from an MLTR in that the girls in a harem may know each other.

HB
Stands for Hot Babe. A girl worthy of attention

Hired Gun
A female staff member in a service position, whose revenues are tied to her ability to manage social interactions well. For example: bartenders, waitresses, hostesses, stewardesses, etc.

I

Instadate
A suggestion for a date that is immediately acted upon.

IOI
Stands for Indicator of Interest. An indication from a person that they have included you in a short list of attractive persons they would like to further interact with. A coy or fleeting stare, preening, playing with one's hair, ogling, etc. all constitute IOIs.

J

JGirl
Stands for Japanese Girl.

K

Kino
Stands for Touching. From the Greek word, establishing a humanizing (and possibly arousing ) physical contact.

KJ
Stands for Keyboard Jockey. Someone who derives too much personal validation from his stature and arguments in online forums. Usually said derisively of people who should simply go out and learn to seduce by practicing it rather than just talking about it online.

L

LDR
Stands for Long-Distance Relationship. A relationship in which physical proximity is infrequent or absent.

LJBF
Stands for "Let's Just Be Friends". Something a girl says to put a final end to courtship; something a guy says to indicate potential disinterest.

LMR
Stands for Last-Minute Resistance. Hesitation from a woman raised just before engaging in sex.

LR
Stands for Lay Report. Basic teaching and sharing tool of the community, a detailed description of events, people and interactions having lead to sex.

LSE
Stands for Low Self Esteem. A perception of low individual worthiness.

LTR
Stands for Long-Term Relationship. A serious, committed ongoing relationship.

M

MILF
Stands for Mother I would Like to Fuck. Expression coined in the first American Pie movie referring to an older but desirable woman.

Mixed Set
A group of people with whom one intends to interact, composed of both males and females.

MLTR
Stands for Multiple Long-Term Relationships. Group of women, each of whom you have an ongoing serious relationship with; differs from a harem in that the girls may not necessarily know each other.

MM
Stands for Mystery Method. A seduction method originally developed and commercially exploited by Mystery involving three major phases in a full interaction.

MPUA
Stands for Master PUA. A PUA who is particularly versatile and competent.

N

NLP
Stands for Neuro-Linguistic Programming. A psychological tool to model or transform someone's subjective experience.

O

Oneitis
A focused infatuation with one woman, whether yet unconquered or an ex.

ONS
Stands for One-Night Stand. A very short term sexual relationship.

P

PU
Stands for Pick-Up. The method and art of seducing a woman.

PUA
Stands for Pick-Up Artist. Someone who is sufficiently well-versed in pick-up to freely build successful, unhindered interactions.

PUing
Stands for Picking Up. Seducing a woman.

R

RAFC
Stands for Recovering AFC. Someone who is aware of his starting point as an AFC but is taking the means to improve on that area of his life.

RSD
Stands for Real Social Dynamics. A compilation of seduction philosophies, methods and routines centrally assembled by Papa, Tyler Durden, and a few others.

S

Sarge
Stands for A pick-up event. A series of seduction-oriented interactions; named after Ross Jeffries' cat sarge.

Set
A group of girls hanging out together (for groups of guys and girls, see mixed set)

SHB
Stands for Super Hot Babe. A girl a class of beauty above the ordinary good-looking ones.

SO
Stands for Significant Other. Person with whom you are in a current relationship.

SS
Stands for Speed-Seduction. A seduction method developed by Ross Jeffries involving the application of hypnotism and NLP to the seduction process.
