She wants to be polite. He wants some action
A single friend recently got a blizzard of emails from a married man she'd met at a party. Of course, he wanted a little nookie, what with his wife and daughters away and all.
My friend answered every email except his last, an inappropriate, puzzling and perhaps drunken suggestion sent around 2 a.m. that she enjoy a skinny dip.
"Why would you answer at all?" I asked, aghast.
"Well, it's only polite," she replied. "I was brought up to be polite."
Polite? Polite? Spineless is more like it. For one does not encourage the attention of just anybody who shows interest, especially if said anybody suggests a skinny dip at 2 a.m.
What does it say about the state of womankind when we go around answering emails from every Tom, Dick and Horny, or responding to their phone calls and advances as if we didn't have a choice? How desperate are we?
I ask this in the wake of the long-awaited publication of a pickup manual for men that treats women as easily manipulated dopes who will gush, blush and give over our phone numbers to guys who follow its rules. Called The Game: Penetrating the Secret Society of Pickup Artists (Reganbooks, HarperCollins, $39.95), it's by Neil Strauss, a former arts reporter for the New York Times who left the newspaper to ghostwrite the biography of porn star Jenna Jameson.
Of course, it sounds like the mirror image of The Rules, the much-vilified book by Ellen Fein and Sherrie Schneider on how to trap the man of your dreams. Both objectify the other sex as one to be conquered and they promise the moon, sun, stars and, in The Game's case, lots and lots and lots of sex.
Strauss's odyssey began after the publisher of the Jameson book asked if he was interested in editing and rewriting a text called The How-to-Lay-Girls Guide - a compendium of advice and anecdotes from disparate, once-desperate guys - that had been making the rounds on the Internet.
For Strauss, the introduction into a netherworld where people go by names like "Twotimer" and "Mystery," travel in packs, and use acronyms like SHB (super-hot babe) and MLTR (multiple long-term relationship, or harem), was irresistible.
Short and balding, he writes that everything changed when he put himself under the tutelage of his new gurus. He shaved his head, got LASIK eye surgery, whitened his teeth, bought new clothes, treated SHB's in an off-hand, uninterested way and adopted the name "Style" to go along with Twotimer and gang. He slept around a lot and even lived in a group guys' home on the Sunset Strip in Los Angeles that they all dubbed Project Hollywood, or "our church of the spread legs."
"Darwin talked about survival of the fittest," Twotimer once explained to Strauss as they walked through a Los Angeles museum looking for women. "In earlier times, this meant that the strong survived. But strength doesn't help one get ahead in society today. Women breed with seducers, who understand how to trigger, through words and touch, the fantasy parts of the female brain."
"The whole idea of survival of the fittest is an anachronism," he continued. "As players, we stand at the gate of a new era: the survival of the smoothest."
Sorry, Twotimer, but, as I told my spineless friend of the emails, women should know better than to fall for smoothly smarmy guys who want to use us and then move on. We don't "breed" with seducers. We like nice guys, though it doesn't hurt if they're cute, too.
Sure, equal is as equal does - and it's mildly interesting to see men getting back their own after The Rules and Why Men Love Bitches (From Doormat to Dreamgirl!) and every other book that purports to counsel women in the ways of the heart.
It's just too bad that nowhere in The Game is there a sense that men should actually strive for any relationship other than wham, bam, thank you, ma'am.
Then again, some men will be boys, won't they?

Alright, well let me begin my saying that I'm not getting paid to do this review. I am doing this review to show that this 8 CD set is really worthwhile. I'm pretty new to the community, and have only been KJing for around 3 months. I've read alot, and listened to quite abit of material. This information in the 8 CD set is the best I have come across.
I was raised in an all Catholic school all my life. I lived a very sheltered life, and was raised predominately by my mom. Growing up, I always liked the hottest girls in my school, yet I could never approach them. In the 8th grade, I really liked this girl, but I could not approach so I had my friend ask her out for me. There was an older kid by the same name as me in the next grade, and they had dated for awhile. Now when my friend asked this girl out she asked about the other kid. My friend replied with No, the one in our grade.
She yelled,
"EWWWWWWWWW!!!!!!"
She said" No I won't go out with him!"
I was crushed needless to say. In high school, it was much the same. Freshman year I was social, I went to the dances, football games, and basketball games. This was the last year, however, that this would happen. For the next three years, I spent every night alone, and only one time in 3 years did I ever go out with a group of friends from school. I slowly became more depressed, and shy. I felt so fat and awkward that I started acting up in class and school to feel better. I was a natural speaker. I was loud, and outspoken in my new state. In class, I was the jokester with the quick wit. Outside of class, I was humble, and meek. After my time in high school, I moved on to the local university. I moved in with another shy kid, much to my dismay.
I wanted to start over, and my roommate was not going to help this. The floor of the dorm that I lived in was the party floor. My suite-mate, meaning the guy I shared a bathroom with, but wasn't my roommate, always had hot girls. I would always wake up and go to the shower only to find a girl brushing her teeth or taking a shower. I was very envious. However, my grades in school were bad so I just focused on my studies. It was at this point, that I began to go more to class to do well. In my English class there was this pretty red headed girl from a very well-to-do family. We slowly became friends, and I slowly became a average frustrated chump with her. I was so needy with her.
She gave me her number, and I would call her so often that she soon stopped answering. We always went to breakfast after class, and from there we would talk for an hour. She was very friendly, and in retrospect I wish I had asked her to teach me how to game girls. She was a very honest girl, and I have no doubt in my mind that she would have done so. Things got worse for me 3 months into school, my roommate found a computer game called Counterstrike, and I soon found myself giving all my efforts to this game. I stopped attending class, and focused on just working full time, and playing Counterstrike.
My days would consist of waking up at 3 pm to get to work 4 pm, then working till 11 or 12, going home and playing Counterstrike till 5 am. Wash, rinse, and repeat. I failed out of that university, and to this day, I still cook at the very same restaurant I worked at back then. I work in the middle of the college campus that I failed out of, and I regretted failing out.
Two years have passed, since those days. I talked to a lot of girls from work, and I never went out to bars or to clubs or anything.
People at work would try to break me from my shyness, but I was always very rigid. I never gave into them. I never once went out in two years just in how I was in high school. I was very sad. Then, I started going out once or twice at night during the week. I never approached girls, I would always look at the girls from a distance, but never have the courage to talk to them. I just could not bring myself to talk to them, EVER. I dated one girl in this time and she was attracted to me because I was doing well in class. I was so confident, I had stopped looking for girls and just focused on school. I followed my past, and slowly became an average frustrated chump with her.
I got to third base with this girl by basically turning her on, and feeding her sexual need. I could have been any guy to her now, and I now realize this. We dated for 4 months, she broke up with me two weeks before Thanksgiving. I was crushed, I tried so hard to get her back. She just played me to the tee. I mean she was acting nice to me, but we had mutual friends, and she was saying that every guy who dates her ends up in love with her. She thought I was different, because I was cocky with her at first. I helped this girl move in to her apartment and didn't even get a kiss with her. We slept with clothes on next to each other for 3 nights, and she only called me in the end when she was lonely. I finally got over this blow to my ego because I finally thought I had it figured out.
Flash forward to now, 6 months ago I am out at a local bar. Mind you, I'm still shy and this is 3 months before I find the community. I come across the girl I fell for in freshman year. The one who I went to breakfast with, and called so often she stopped answering. I played it cool with her just like the last one. In fact, this guy that was next to me asked for her number, and she told him that they had just met, and she wasn't gonna give her number out. Yet, she gave me her number at the drop of a hat. Everything was cool for about a week, I'd say. I hadn't blown it yet, and she was showing solid interest. She was calling me, not the other way around. She was playing my game. Then, we went on a date, and it went well. I still had this fear of kissing. I couldn't initiate the kiss. I always wanted to but I couldn't just go for it. So, I left with an awkward hug after asking to use her bathroom.
Don't worry though it gets much worse. So we talk, and are just generally friends. A week later, I call her, I'm out with some friends, and I tell her I want to talk to her in person. I ask her what she is doing and she says she just got home from a bar and is drunk about to pass out. I told her I didn't want to interrupt her plans, but get this she tells me to come over, and talk to her. I go over, and we talk for about 45 minutes.
I carry our chairs inside her apartment, as we had been sitting outside, She then starts to take her jeans and boots off. She asks me if I'm staying or going. As I look at her body in this little thong and a white t-shirt I tell her I'm staying. I didn't want to come off as sleazy so I hop in bed with her, and leave space between us. She then sits back into me, and grabs my arm as well and puts it next to her face. I couldn't even kiss her then. No matter what I did I could not kiss her. There I was, 20 years old in college, in bed with a girl I had fallen for and I couldn't act on my wishes. I could not kiss this girl. I remember I got the balls to rub my fingers across her stomach, and her body shook and she moaned slightly. I stopped.
CAN YOU BELIEVE WHAT YOU ARE READING! I STOPPED WHAT I WAS DOING THAT MADE HER MOAN!
I woke up in the morning with her and she asked me to stay to see her again. She had to go to an car appointment to get her car fixed. I then went back to sleep for a bit. I waited as long as I could but she didn't not come back in time, and I had to go to work.
NO Kiss.
The next week is my birthday so off to the beach I go. I ask to see her again before I leave and she tells me to come over. I go over to her place and we talk. I figure that I will kiss her tonight so she will miss me while I'm gone for a week.
I CAN'T DO IT.
We talk for 3 hours and I just hug her at the end. I leave for the beach, and everything is good for a couple of days. I told her to call me on my birthday to wish me a good one and she agrees to do so. I notice she has called me Monday and my birthday is on a Thursday.
I BLOW IT RIGHT HERE FELLAS.
I started calling her numerous times while I was away at the beach. I couldn't show her how needy I was anymore. She calls me on my birthday and says she's been busy and has left her phone in her car for the last couple of days. Needless to say, within a week of my return home she no longer wants anything to do with me.
I'M DEVASTATED YET AGAIN.
I think I must do something about this to get girls under control in my life. I search for dating on the internet, and DYD stuff pops up. From there I find fastseduction. From fastseduction, I'm introduced to both direct and indirect game. I spend the next three months being a keyboard jockey. I read everything I could get my hands on, as well as listened to everything. I read all the archives on the fastseduction site, and slowly began to do the exercises. I had a bad tendency to look down when I was outside in the world, instead of in the eye. So every time I went out to the store to get food with my mom, or to the mall, or just anywhere, I made it a point to always look a person in the eyes, especially girls. I slowly became more confident in doing this. I then found the Shark Attract&Date CD set. I began to do the exercises in them.
I would listen to them until I fully understood everything that Ranko had put on the CD's. I internalized them. I work a 40 hour a week job in a restaurant, and attend college. I take 12 hours now so I do not have a lot of free time. I am only half way done with the CD's in all honesty. I really did the missions in the first 4 CD 's, and they are spot on helpful.
For the first couple of weeks this month, I did the exercises in the discs. One girl at work even commented on how my attitude has changed. She said she didn't like it, but I noticed how much more receptive she was to me. So, I did not listen to her words. I just continued on my path. Two weeks later, this same girl I've wanted to ask out for 6 months now talks to me more regularly. I finally feel more confident about myself, and ask her out. She agrees, and I get her telephone number no problem. She even tells me her schedule without me asking for it.
The next day, I ask another girl out, and get her number.
The best news I saved for last, I went out and met this girl. I finally went out to a bar I had been going to and talked to a girl. Not only that, I ended up talking the girl out of her panties back at her place. I was not nervous because I had been in a pretty girl's room before, and had seen one half naked. So I remembered what it was like. We go back to her place. I'm in her room, talking to her. I know this girl mind you and I have known her for a bit. She is quite shy, she always talked about her ex-boyfriend with respect. We started talking about sex, and she asked me what I like about sex. Now I made up this story about how I was about to get the real person out of a girl. I role-played a story about how she always likes to be in control, but secretly she just wants to lose control. She backed this story up herself when she told me a story about how she started playing with her boyfriend to try to get into some wild sex. Like she wanted to be tossed around, and be completely dominated in bed, and her boyfriend was a soft lover and wouldn't do this.
In the CD set, Ranko talks about becoming alpha, and taking the girl how she wants to be taken. I used this to my advantage. I remembered the characteristics that he described, and the thoughts he put in the disc. Slowly, I became this person. She even noticed.
She told me in public you are so shy, but now in this room you are different you are naughty but a nice naughty. I told her because I only give my real self to those who show me they are worthy. She then begins to tell me how much she likes me, how much I'm different than most guys she knows. I know this girl is a cock tease so bad. She is very beautiful and intelligent, and this girl gets hit on a lot. I did not neg her or speak down to her. I showed her, and let her feel as though I was alpha, and I made no excuses for my lust. She began to put up resistance to my advances saying that she just couldn't lose control with me. I told her she can.
On one of the first four CD's Ranko talks about giving us permission to do things. I use this on her. I tell her I give her permission to act like the real her. I tell her I won't judge her in this situation, and she can feel comfortable with me.
She begins to loosen up so I go for the panties yet again. I still get shot down this time. I tell her to stop over thinking, and just lose control with me. I am here to show her pleasure, not to judge her. The whole time I never get frustrated.
I know where I was months ago, and I know how far I've come. I really focused, and became the dominate male that I know she desired. I thought about that and then I remember her story that she told me about how she wanted wild sex. I picked her up and carried her to her bed. Threw her down on the bed, there was no resistance. I was slow to pick up her signals, but she said she doesn't use words to say she wants to be naughty she uses action. She started playing with her bra so I took it on myself to become the alpha. I threw her down and took her bra off. I went for the panties, and this time resistance.
I told her to stop over thinking and just be the real sexy her.
Finally, she caves. She tells me she has to close the door. This was some kind of blocker for her. She really couldn't act until the door was closed. She lives alone, so I found this weird. I would like to get to know more about this, so I will bring this up in talks with her later. However, I digress. So, when she comes back to the bed after closing the door, she becomes primal. She starts being the naughty girl I was telling her to be. I was dominating her, and she told me to put my hand on her throat because she wanted wild sex, and wanted to try it.
I must say it was nice to have sex for the first time with a girl that was so wild. After listening to the first 4 CD's, I now know that women want sex just as bad as we do. They just have blockers and make excuses like men. They want an alpha to come, and take them the way they dream about in books. This belief is really internalized in me now. I can not believe that I was actually using Ranko's words on such a pretty girl, and giving her my permission to be the naughty girl who loses control with me that I knew she wanted to be. I feel great, and I look forward to more sexual encounters with the opposite sex.
I'm almost 2 years into the game and that I've tried almost every method out there.
The only method that comes close is Gunwitch's but it's still worse compared to Shark's. And Gun's way didn't make me move my lazy ass regularly out of the house (out of fear which stopped me) and Shark's CD set did do that.

It's a cd-set consisting of 8 CD's made by Ranko Magami also known as Shark. It's all easy to hear and to understand even though his native language isn’t English. It just needs some time for the new point of view to "sink in" in your head.
In the beginning Ranko says that soon after listening to it you will be able to get hot chicks. And he is right. He introduces you to his, very enlightening point of view on life and society. How we work for the whole and not ourselves. He explains it a lot better than in his first product (Shark CD).
The CD's consist of him explaining his view of society. He shows you what everybody is doing and how many hot chicks it gives them. You know the number; just look at yourself and your friends. And then he gives you a choice to do something else. Something nearly nobody does. He teaches you to go for what you want and to live your life without fear and regret.
He explains how your behaviour patterns start at an early age, when you have no clue what you want and how to get it so you listen to parents, teachers, and in fact, you are trained to become a good member of society. He teaches you it's not your fault who you are. And that allows you to let go and start to change your life for the better.
He explains what women want and need from a man. And how their dreams are unfulfilled due to all the guys excusing themselves out of doing it. He teaches you what to do to be attractive and be the Prince all women are waiting for.
What is great, he teaches you to how to think positive and get rid of ALL your phobias and fears that stop you from getting hot women. He teaches you how to break habits that make you not get girls. He teaches you how to change your thoughts and even to relax and get rid of negative feelings.
And so it does something no other product could do for me. It actually did the miracle of me happily moving my lazy ass and willingly go out to meet beautiful women. By myself. How?
He gives you a set of exercises that step-by-step turn you into a guy that can get girls. They start with things that are so easy that it's impossible not to start doing them. And when you start you just keep doing them and you gain a lot. What do they do to you? They change you into a playboy bit by bit.
For example now, after less than two weeks after first listening to it, I walk proudly, I am confident, I can approach a girl in a club while being relaxed. I can approach a very beautiful woman on the street during the day when I am surrounded by people while being relaxed. I'm not saying I can just ask for the time or something like that, I mean I'm able to show my feelings to a girl. What's more, I consider in my free time to go out and meet some pretty chicks. I'm not touched even a bit by people trying to put me down. I stopped dancing, I consider it a stupid way of getting a chick. I'm not trying to impress them. I don't even consider fucking less than very pretty girls in the future. I know and feel that I now have the power of choice. And I don't feel afraid of rejection, I get happy just from behaving the way Shark shows you.
Sometimes I block myself from doing the above but I KNOW that I now I have the power to change that. And I got it from this product - I am positive of that.
It is a product dedicated to people who - as the name of it suggests - want to improve their chances of attracting and dating the opposite sex. But it's far better than that. He doesn't give you a set of skills and tricks to get a chick. His product with missions changes you into a playboy. I didn't yet do all of them that I regret but that is because after a few I just started to concentrate on seducing girls instead of just exercising. But I will do them I am sure of that because Shark knows what he's saying and he wants to help me so I will do them. They must be good for me like the others were.
Ranko kind of shows you how all people are sleeping and instead of just giving you one coffee he wakes you up and explains how to never fall asleep again.
I'm not saying this product is perfect, I think it is missing some details. But you will come to those details yourself thanks to it. Your "game" will become whole and good if you put effort and some time to it. And after listening to it, believe me, you will.
I never had the confidence I have now. And I never was as positive a person as I am now. And I never was as free of fears as I am now. And I'm only planning to get better and I will.
I say, if you've got the money and want to get good with girls, choose this product. You probably won't need anything else.

Melbourne Lair: The place, an open shopping center in the heart of the city. I sit down at the food court and wait for familiar faces to arrive. I picked the location of this months meeting of the Melbourne Lair, Its great to have it in an informal place like a food court, sets a nice relaxing mood. Once everybody arrives we push some tables together and start the meeting. We discuss peoples sticking points and offer suggestions, we tell stories of crash and burns and success stories. We just shoot the sh*t, it f*cking great to meet up with like minded people. While telling someone my smurf routine, I see two guys get up from the table and start walking away, I glance back later to see them sitting with a girl, these guys are approach machines.
The meeting goes on way too f*cking long, everybody's got a story to tell, advice to offer, we could talk to each other for days. I feel like this is Ocean's 11 and we are planning the big heist. There is the leader, he started the group. The guru, he's an encyclopedia of info. There is the joker, he can't stop negging and teasing everyone; f*cking Canadians. Doc, who many of you know from his great interview here last time and all too rare but outstanding posts on this list, on Mystery's Lounge, and the Montreal Lair, is bringing his seminars and speed dating events to Montreal. Previously they were mainly held in Toronto as part of the Learning Annex, Doc is now setting it up here and plans to hold events on a monthly basis.

What method are YOU using?
If you are opening groups (or sets: 2-sets, 3-sets, mixed sets, etc) of people with the 3 second rule by stacking indirect openers (including false opinion openers), false time constraining (discovered by Style), demonstrating a higher value to your romantic interest’s peer group with high octane DHVs while she obliquely observes (locking her into her own set with a prop), and simultaneously performing false disqualifiers (which include negs) on her with the intension of disarming her peergroup and then isolating her to rebuild her self-esteem once you have enough IOIs (indicators of interest) so you may share in a comfort and trust building effort and then build in a jealousy subplot to solidify her attraction for you, you are using The Mystery Method.
If instead you are only approaching women who are alone, you are greatly limiting your options and quite likely alienating your target's friends. Do you want a lonely woman (why is she lonely?) or a woman who already has a healthy social lfe? Truth is, healthy women have healthy relationships ... sometimes good friendships with guys. Like it or not, you will have to meet these women with men in her group.
Women of beauty are rarely found alone. Don't miss the opportunity to meet and attract them WITH social proof from her very own peergroup. Group Approach Theory (GAT - created by me) improves your options and increases the chances for attraction DRAMATICALLY over Single Approach Theory (SAT).
