ZAN IN MONTREAL
Recently I met with Zan who has expressed a lot of interest to possibly moving to Montreal, and possibly even going into the helping men become more successful with women business. He has told me that he has been diligently working on writing his book, which he expects to complete for the end of the year.
Now those of you who aren't familiar with Zan, you can read about him in Neil Strauss's book "The Game", you can read "Zan's Powerful Technique" (go to www.fastseduction.com and you will see it about mid way down the right side of the screen - there are surely other writings about him on that site as well), and there are some amazing posts of his in the archives of my list (which you can access by going to www.cliffslist.com, hit "enter" then hit "archive" once the pop-up subscription notice disappears). When Zan spoke at the Cliff's List Seminar this summer, it was amazing to watch the women in the audience swoon as he talked (you can actually get a copy of Zan's presentation as part of the DVDs of the event which are available at www.cliffslistconvention.com). Zan is an original - he meets the description of the "rake" in Robert Greene's The Art of Seduction and his ideas are inspiring. He is in his 40's and has never been with a woman over 25 years old. On his 40th birthday, 8 of his girlfriends (including his wife who he isn't together with on a regular basis any longer) got together and through him a lingerie party (he wrote up the amazing story of that evening and it is also to be found in the archives of my list).
In any event, Zan potentially would like to move to Montreal. In order to leave his current employment, he does need to put together some cash so we talked about holding a Zan Seminar here which would hopefully give him the start-up capital to go into this full time.
While there is no guarantee that he will move, there is the opportunity to bring him here to do an in-class seminar which will undoubtedly be life-changing for those of you who attend it.
In order to attract a good turn out, pricing for a Saturday-Sunday event would be $300-350 if we get enough attendees.
I want you to also know that I have no financial interest in this - I am only helping Zan out. We have become pretty friendly since meeting for the first time at a DYD
event a couple years ago, and I think it would be awesome to have him living here in the city.

BOOK REVIEW: Cult Control (www.cultcontrol.com)
Well, what do I say about this book "Cult Control"? First, the marketing is great. Most people I know would enjoy knowing enough about human psychology to be able to "control" another person's behavior, whether it be in a Cult or in a dating situation. Part of everything we learn in the dating world is to communicate with a female in such a way as to get our wants met. There is a major problem with this book though. It just doesn't go into psychology on any great level. Most of the descriptions of Cult Control are the surface level subjects that you would pick up from watching the Discovery Channel on Waco, Texas. You can forget about learning any deep communication patterns or NLP techniques that will allow you to persuade, or establish any type of cult, or help you get or keep a woman.
If you are one of the people that reads "EVERYTHING" like me, then it is entertaining, and out of the entire books, I found 2 nuggets of information. If you are an advanced dater or communicator, this book is beneath you. If you're new to the game, this is not where you want to start. If you are an intermediate, well, this may shift your paradigm to what could happen, but you won't find any deep levels of communication to get there.
The last two negatives of the book is the quality of the writing and the spacing. It has tons of grammar and spelling errors. To fill up 160 pages it is double spaced, large font with plenty of white. In normal spacing it would take up about 40 pages.
The positives are the two free e-books with it. "Cold Reading" has a few good pages to it, and I really enjoyed the "Practical Mental Influence", and whether you agree with all of the material, it does have a few 'ah-hah' moments in it.
Overall, find another area to spend your money if you want to learn about dating or communicating or even manipulating another human. If on the other hand, you love cults, this would be a small book to add to your collection.

Review: CROATIA WORKSHOP BY THE "SHARK" (aka Ranko Magami)
I just returned from Croatia workshop (November 3, 2005) with delight. At the age of 54, I have been married twice and never understood why my past wives were upset with me. Some women have the belief that such man is unfeeling or not understanding enough in a sour marriage. This workshop and "Ranko's 8CD set Attract and Date" taught me to deal with a woman’s emotions to win her heart. I never understood how to do this. I have a degree in Chemistry and sufficient hours in psychology for a college major prior. My profession is a dental specialist. Guess what? Being famous, rich, Mercedes convertible, Rolex watch, diamond rings did not get me dates or women begging to hop in the sack. This makes all the competition jealous in thinking that I was a major player. Most men wish that they had these essentials to be successful with women. Funny though is that these assets did not work for me. The Fidentia workshop gave me the knowledge and skills to be a major player, but this was never my goal. Now, I have confidence in meeting people and especially women in social settings.
After my first divorce, I asked over 25 women for simple dates to movies, dinners or just fun stuff to do. The second woman told me that she was not desperate. After 25 "no's," I had bitter resentment toward American women. So, I tried the Internet matching / dating. I went to the Ukraine to find the love of my life. She rewarded my love and devotion with lies, betrayal and theft. FREE ADVICE: over 90% of all Russian and Ukrainian women on Internet are frauds and want to use any man for ticket to USA. How do I know this? Statistics show that over 90% divorce in 2 to 4 years after getting a Green Card: GOLD-DIGGERS! Of course, some feminists might proclaim that only abusive men or losers marry women abroad. How can a professional like me be considered a loser with income over $300K? You figure this one!
Why did I travel to Croatia and spend a few bucks for such a course? I do not care to be a major player. I have been looking for my Princess (wife) to fall in love and hopefully be happy the rest of my life. The education offered by Fidentia offers a man like me a chance to improve on himself to attract the woman of his dreams. I am rather old fashioned and I personally do not care to be a bed hopper. My heart was broken by my Ukrainian wife of four years to the point of not wanting to live. Now, Fidentia has given me hope to find true love and happiness. You can laugh with me (not at me), but I am planning on being happy and enjoying meeting women.
My past experiences are fairly wide but I really had no idea of how a woman’s mind really works in reality. Ranko and his partner, Atilas, were great and shared their insight of conquering this unknown reality. My perception was that I was always busy and I felt that women were busy too in bars or public places. Women at these places appeared to be busy in their own world to me. This is how they try to appear not be desperate to meet a man. This was my excuse for not speaking to women. In reality, why do women spend hours selecting perfect matching clothes and putting on makeup to perfection, if their intentions were not to meet someone in the night clubs or shopping centers? My hesitation has cost me countless chances to meet hot women. The workshop was kind of funny as Atilas would send me to a woman or group of women and evaluate my technique. I was different as Atilas told me in that I had no fear but needed improvement in body language and approach. After the first night, there was marked improvement of my approach and women wanting me to stay for more conversation. My problem was what to say: Obviously I did not know the women or what her interests were in life. The workshop helped me tremendously over come this problem. No memorized openers!
What the workshop did for me was to overcome my excuses and knowledge to approach multiples of women in a group without fear or worries. Now, I immediately approach women at any location with expectation of acceptance. My only concern now is is she good enough for me as I have rather high taste and standards in life. Some lucky woman has to ride in my Mercedes convertible…Hehe On my return to my practice, my staff have commented on what changed me as I was happy and more relaxed in my work. Meeting woman was my main goal, but the real bonus was the inner peace of being confident in dealing with people in my business was a shock to me personally and my staff.
My recommendation is to take one of these workshops if you are tired of being unsuccessful with women or tired of settling for over-weight sweeties with an attitude. Take control for once in your life and decide who is good enough for you. I attended several work shops and found that all of the instructors at Fidentia take pride in their students’ success and achievement. I have meet all of the instructors except Seth and found that these guys are cool, patient and great to have as friends. I was confused in wondering when they would allow me to pay. This group is more interested in your improvement than collecting a few bucks for their expenses. Good luck whether you attend one of the workshops or just watch me meet hotties around the world… I plan on being happy and successful… defeat is not part of my personality.

A Piece of the American Pie
This is truly a hilarious movie and it speaks so much about our culture as well.
Jim (a 'nice guy') in 'American Pie' has a double 'oops' just by touching Nadia the foreign exchange student. He is the one who is being 'unnatural' by letting the forced reality of our society and perceptions influence his behavior.
Basically he is putting too much importance and edification on just the thought of sex itself (due to our social programming and edification of sex and women that bombastically connects with our inner desire for it). If he didn't have any of that cultural programming in the first place he would be a natural to go ahead and 'git'rdun' (but also the movie wouldn't have been so damn funny).
Do notice how he was effective with the band chick because he didn't care as much?..this IS more natural behavior because the man has ultimately had the power and choice through most of time (and because it's flipped, everyone's so damn confused).
Everyone wants a 'piece of the pie' more than ever because we are so conscious of it in America due to our social advocation, glorification of and the importance placed on it. Unfortunately this comes off right away when a man approaches a woman and she can sense it - it even looks like he has a hidden agenda because he is incongruent with his body language. This is 'creepy' to women.
This throws many men off because they want instant gratification to all of the blue balls effect (or 'pricktease') of the media (in which they never get the gratification but instead get oozing sex appeal and beauty). Unfortunately this scares off most women when they see that 'something' is getting in the way of the process of natural attraction.
Little do these men know that if they were just natural and indifferent to the outcome (instead of placing all of their blue balls desire upfront on any hot woman they see), they could EASILY speed along the process to sex (especially because the woman is so repressed and happy to finally have found a guy who 'gets it'). The relationship dynamics have changed.
Why is it called 'getting lucky'? Where do you think the power lies there? Didn't men use to have the power and choice with women? How do you EASILY even come close to putting aside their beauty which has such a strong connection to our current identity? Well, you have to go through something much deeper in understanding to really 'get it'.
True naturals are called 'naturals' for a reason. Aren't we all 'naturals' by the sheer continuance of our civilization? Don't all animals instinctively know how to procreate? Do they let something stupid or perceptual get in the way? Isn't the 40 year old virgin a violation of who we are as men?! You have to see everything for what it is, which is virtually impossible in our society.
You have to understand things from a universal perspective in order to explain the behavior patterns and why you aren't being successful with women when now you can be the MOST successful with women just through aligning yourself with these understandings.
You do not have to be a jerk or intensely study 'seduction' or 'pick up' in order to get a piece of the American pie. You do have to cut through all of your perceptions of her beauty and her idea of reality by coming from a foundation which is so strong, that she may quiver in your mere presence.
Have all the pie you want. Women today are desperate for a man to act like I can teach you instead of being the ignorant jerk she keeps attracting, or someone she 'knows' is 'trying' to pick her up.
How important is 'getting some pie' to you? Women want you to be 'real' and they can debate whether to brag about you to their friends or not because they finally 'got a man' (even if it's just sex) who so magnetically attracts her to you and somehow 'she can't explain it'. And if you really ARE a great catch she'll want to keep you but the whole world of opportunity opens up to you when you understand natural success with women.
No matter how hot she is, attraction and sex is a natural process and there is no reason for you to let anything get in the way of creating a mutually fulfilling experience that you'll both remember (yeah, Stifler).

All you guys hit it on the mark about she doesn't have to "like" you to feel attraction. I had to stop focusing on negatives and learn to assert myself more. Once I faced my fears the approach anxiety slowly began receding. I was just too damn self revealing in the past. That kind of honesty always works against you, every time, because it shows you have no dignity about yourself. There's enough others to put us down for free, I realized I didn't have to disrespect myself like that. You do yourself a grave injustice when you look down on yourself, I have found. It's hard in the beginning to stop the self pity because if you've been doing it for so many years your subconscious hijacks you into doing so. But the results are definitely worth the effort.
What did it for me was that women are more attracted to personality traits than looks or money. I chased after the bodybuilder physique for many years and even though I'm still in good shape, I no longer kill myself to maintain single digit body fat percentages. I used to chase after bikini models which my friends always said, "You don't make enough money for her..." You guys shattered that myth too.
When you have an external frame of reference like I did for many years, you're set up for a fear of loss and become outcome dependent. Now that I can validate myself from within, I really don't care too much if a woman is attracted to me or not. My self esteem is no longer threatened.

Melbourne Lair: The place, an open shopping center in the heart of the city. I sit down at the food court and wait for familiar faces to arrive. I picked the location of this months meeting of the Melbourne Lair, Its great to have it in an informal place like a food court, sets a nice relaxing mood. Once everybody arrives we push some tables together and start the meeting. We discuss peoples sticking points and offer suggestions, we tell stories of crash and burns and success stories. We just shoot the sh*t, it f*cking great to meet up with like minded people. While telling someone my smurf routine, I see two guys get up from the table and start walking away, I glance back later to see them sitting with a girl, these guys are approach machines.
The meeting goes on way too f*cking long, everybody's got a story to tell, advice to offer, we could talk to each other for days. I feel like this is Ocean's 11 and we are planning the big heist. There is the leader, he started the group. The guru, he's an encyclopedia of info. There is the joker, he can't stop negging and teasing everyone; f*cking Canadians. There's the approach machines, they can't follow the conversation because they are too busy following the nearest piece of ass. There is the SSer, the grease boy and of course Brad Pitt. If you are opening groups (or sets: 2-sets, 3-sets, mixed sets, etc) of people with the 3 second rule by stacking indirect openers (including false opinion openers), false time constraining (discovered by Style), demonstrating a higher value to your romantic interest’s peer group with high octane DHVs while she obliquely observes (locking her into her own set with a prop), and simultaneously performing false disqualifiers (which include negs) on her with the intension of disarming her peergroup and then isolating her to rebuild her self-esteem once you have enough IOIs (indicators of interest) so you may share in a comfort and trust building effort and then build in a jealousy subplot to solidify her attraction for you, you are using The Mystery Method.
