I admit it - curiosity got the better of me. The outrageous claims of Elvis Preston King, self proclaimed World's Greatest Pick Up Artist were just irresistible to me and I had to find out the truth for myself. I kept this one pretty quiet and told almost no one that I was going, but I arranged to fly out to Santiago, Dominican Republic mid-January and meet the King.
The flight down was eventful in its own right - I met a Dominican native at the gate in New York as I was waiting for my connection and spent most of the 3 hour flight cuddling with and teasing her. I sat down beside her and proceded to ignore her for about a half hour, after which I just turned to her and asked her if Santiago had a beach. Santiago is a big city and while there may be some rivers, it is not on the ocean. Diajara seemed to like me from the start but threw out some mixed signals. When I sat down in the plane next to her (my assigned seat was far away, but there were empty seats so I just went to her and sat down in the adjacent seat) and then tells me that she has some naked pictures of herself in her cell phone, which at this point in time is stowed in her bag which is in the baggage bin over head (I take this as a big indication of interest). She doesn't feel like getting up to get it and I don't want to seem desperate so I just drop it. She later tells me that she wants to introduce me to two of her best friends who are single, one a beautiful blonde and the other an attractive black woman. I told her (credit on this goes to Steve Piccus) that that sounds like we could make a good Neapolitan. I explained that a Neapolitan ice cream has three flavours - chocolate, strawberry and vanilla - and that her and her two girlfriends would make a good combination. She laughed at this but, I noted, did not rule out the possibility. She told me that she lives with one of the girlfriends all alone in a big house and by the end of the flight she invited me to stay with them - I told her that if where I was going didn't turn out to be nice, that I would take her up on her offer. We exchanged numbers (she is studying for the next couple of years in NYC and was just going home to Santiago for to visit family for 15 days) but I never ended up calling her. She turns out to be one of maybe 6 women I would meet on the trip that spoke English.
But escorting her out of the airport allows me to roll up to Elvis with a girl on my arm as I find him waiting for me at the area outside where you meet whoever is picking you up. But Elvis had a surprise for me. He showed up with Alberto (his wingman, the world's best of course) and Juana, a very attractive 5'4" 104 lb (they apparently had weighed her on a luggage scale at the airport while waiting for me) black girl. Juana was 25 and worked in a bank. I say goodbye to Diajara. It turned out Juana had come by bus 2.5 hours to see me and had to pay a friend to take over her job for the day. They seat me in the back of Elvis's SUV with her and she shyly seems to like me immediately without being overly demonstrative about it. It turns out Elvis had picked her up earlier, gotten her phone number, and his wingman Alberto spoke to her a couple of times since then telling her about me. We go to a I guess food stand would be the best description and get some chicken with fried bananas. This seemed to be a popular place as we were there around midnight and it was quite busy. Previous to this the girl, who spoke no English, and I were physically getting friendlier in the car - I had put my arm around her and she receptively moved next to me, she kept smiling at me and was clearly attracted. We then talked, with Alberto translating (although Elvis speaks a good deal of Spanish) back and forth with the girl and our next destination (as it was late at night) was to get a hotel room for me and her. I was pretty surprised that they just expected her to spend the night with me but as we talked about hotel rooms she suggested what they call in Japan a "love hotel", a place with a Jacuzzi, adult movies in the room, and a romantic design to the room (the place they took me to cost about $20 USD for the night, but check out time is 9 am which is when additional charges begin). Long story short, and while it may seem like I am leaving out critical details I am not because I just followed everyone's lead - including the girl's - and acted like I expected her to stay, which she did. We had a great night although the Jacuzzi didn't work properly. In the morning we went to a somewhat run down hotel that Alberto suggested where we could get an American style breakfast (eggs, toast, etc.) vs. a Dominican style (the Dominican food leaves a lot to be desired, with them marinating a lot of things, especially vegetables, in vinegar - having an American style meal that is decent becomes a major pleasure item. I couldn't eat any of the local food - it was just totally unappetizing to me and tried to stick with very plain items like roasted chicken). We then took the girl to the bus station. Now I did give her a few pesos for bus fare, but we are talking the equivalent of a couple of dollars. While this paying of money will no doubt be seen as a major incentive by the skeptical among you reading this, Alberto explained to me that this is very different in Dominican culture. Not only are the people here very poor - giving a girl a few pesos for bus fare does not imply that you are buying favors in any way - it's pretty much good manners. It's actually rude to have a girl spend the night with you and not at least arrange for her to make it home - if you think the cost of gas to drive your date home is comparable to paying for sex, then that is what happened. But if you look at it that way, you are missing the point - I would have to say that my status as a white man was far more significant to my closing the deal than any money changing hands (you will read more about that below). And if you did give a girl a little more, it's going to be used for bare essentials like food. The girls aren't "working girls," they are just hungry to eat. Poverty does appear to be the basic state of existence there, as driving around you are very much aware that you are in a Third World country. She had earlier asked me to exchange phone numbers and while we had a hard time communicating, I do want to make it very clear that her and all the women that I met on this trip (other than the ones specifically referred to in this report as being otherwise) were what you would call "good girls," most either in school or having respectable employment (as I said, she worked in a bank), none of these were pros and while attractive, none were what I would put in the slutty category. I do have photos of all of them but I don't intend to post these out of respect for their privacy.
What it is that Elvis does
I had received John's report which was Part One of this Elvis Special and while he was tremendously positive about his experience with Elvis, it didn't tell me much about what Elvis does, and Elvis was having a hard time putting into words what he does. Elvis claims that he is the World's Greatest Pick Up artist and that he sleeps with 1-3 women every day. Believe it or not, it's true. Firstly, the people here are very poor so I am gathering that even though Elvis is currently financially strapped, what he does have must still be impressive to the women. He does have an SUV, a driver (Alberto), and "the bachelor pad" (a fairly new three bedroom house that he rents - Elvis lives elsewhere but uses the pad to bring women to as apparently some of them fall in love with him and come looking for him when he doesn't call back (or they can't reach or see him, as Alberto fields all the calls) so the only place they can look for him is at the pad which he is only at when he has a woman with him. And Alberto receives all phone calls on his cell and turns out to be a master at managing and coordinating the women in Elvis's life). Secondly, Santiago is not a tourist town and white people are rare - in fact, I was told that as a Canadian or American, I was seen the same way that a celebrity is seen. I did notice that I was getting a tremendous amount of eye contact when we were out. Thirdly, the culture here is very macho for the men, and none of the men will approach women the way Elvis does. They will stand back and wait for the women to come up to them or for something to just "happen." What Elvis does is all day game - while Alberto goes out to night clubs frequently (Alberto works for Elvis and he gets his women usually at night when he is not helping Elvis get girls). Elvis approaches pick up like a job that he has a great passion for. During the day, we would cruise either in the SUV or on foot in the busy downtown area and whenever Elvis would spot an attractive woman he would immediately approach her. While he would do this all in Spanish so I couldn't really hear what he says, he basically smiles at them and then hands them a piece of paper that he has handwritten on his name (or, on a lot of them when they were ones I liked, my name), and two phone numbers (one of which being Alberto's cell and the other being the bachelor pad number), tell them he or I were looking for a girlfriend and asked them to call and we'd get to know each other. Now sometimes there is brilliance in simplicity and the more I thought about this simple, direct approach method the more I liked it. I have done many approaches where I will stop a girl, tell them I want to ask them something and then ask if they are single. But asking that opens the door for them to automatically respond in the negative, since there's a bit of doubt (for many of them) of where I am going with that question or to confirm that they do have a man in their life (the reality, though, is that pretty much all attractive women have some man around whether they are serious about him or not). But when you just say you are looking for a girlfriend, she isn't being asked about her status and can let the statement hang in the air while she thinks about it. She's not being asked to yes or no the situation, and then she's just handed a paper with a phone number and it's up to her to do what she will with it. Frequently he would ask if they have a phone and then hand them a piece of paper and a pen. Now you would think he'd get almost all negative reactions from this as (a) he looks his age (56 - Elvis looks a lot like Jack Nicklaus looks today) and (b) almost all the women he goes up to are in their late teens to early 20's. And while he did get a few sideways looks from some women, it was a lot less than you would have expected. And the results were pretty surprising - Alberto's cell phone was ringing constantly. Alberto would then "big him (or me) up" (tell them good things about us, how we are looking for a girlfriend, etc. - but nothing to do with paying them or any other direct incentive. These women are responding because we are looking for a girlfriend or wife. Elvis at one point told me he called one of the girls his fiance pretty quickly, half in jest but certainly playing on the girl's dreams), and then make a "date." I know that the biggest criticism about what Elvis does is going to be that guys will suspect he is paying the women. In fact, Elvis is dead set
against paying the women anything and he can be pretty heartless in some of the circumstances that you would encounter here. On the other hand, you could theorize that the reason the women are so willing is because you represent a lot that they want - a better life, someone who has some money as opposed to almost everyone there, some celebrity as you are a white man and as such different, the possibility of marriage and children, etc. But these are pretty much the same motivations that women have in North America only here we call it having "value." But I will say unequivocably that if you are thinking that the reason Elvis is successful with women is because he is paying them, you are dead wrong. He is appealing to their hopes and dreams and you could take the position that he is taking advantage of them by doing so, but how different that is from what goes on here is very debatable. The sheer numbers of women responding positively to what Elvis does, however, says that he is doing something right.
The dates seemed to have the desired effect pretty much all the same. Generally either Alberto would call the girls or they would call his cell and then he would talk to them, become their friend and build a lot of comfort and trust (it was interesting how some of the girls appeared to genuinely become friends with Alberto, speaking with him repeatedly while he was promoting either Elvis or me to them). He would arrange a place where we would pick the girl up and then start driving. The girl had usually already spoken quite awhile with Alberto. She would usually ask where we were going and the answer was that we were going back to the house to take some pictures. Once back at the pad, I would take a few photos of the girl (or girls as the case may be) and then Alberto would tell me to go into the bedroom and take off my shirt and pants and go into the bed. He would then stay in the living room with the girl and talk to her, apparently explaining that I come from a different culture and background and that typically we sleep with women right away that we want to have as our girlfriends, sort of to try them out. Then he would send the girl in, and with next to no resistance she was having sex with me. Alberto explained that had they not developed this system, typically the girl would have wanted to bring the guy back to her home to meet her family and at the end of the "date" send him on his way with a kiss on the cheek (in fact, Alberto told me he would often tell the girl that if this was someone from here he knows that they would usually first meet her family, etc. and this is like repeating back her values to her. He told me that if he was doing this for someone from there, though, that he had other things to say which would provide the same results). They run the girl through their frame and they all seem to go along with the process. Elvis claims that he used to do this same method in the U.S. and in Canada when he lived there and while he may have had to work a little harder, the basic results are the same. He claims to have been keeping a pace of next to a girl a day since his early 20's and admits to being a sex addict. He is only in the DR for the last 5 years.
I saw Elvis approach tons of women (often racing down the street to catch up with one) and give out and get a lot of phone numbers. I was really surprised to see how many of the women would give their numbers up so quickly to him - and in many, many cases they would appear eager to write down their numbers. Elvis doesn't call any of them back - he gives the numbers to Alberto who schedules dates, often 3-5 in a day.
Elvis is doing this pretty much full time and puts his heart into his work. Elvis really did sleep with at least one different girl every day while I was there and it was clear that (partially because he doesn't spend a lot of time in bed with any of them) he could be doing a second (or even third) one daily without much trouble. Elvis doesn't usually like to sleep with the same woman twice in a row, although there are apparently a few that he has been seeing over time. But in all cases he needs new women and doesn't want to get seriously involved with any one. Strangely enough, he claims that only this year (after becoming attached to the child of one of his ex-girlfriends, who I met) has he developed a desire to have another child - he has a daughter and a step-daughter somewhere and apparently had been married when he was 19). On first glance, it appears that the culture and lifestyle here (the culture being where older men are seen as desirable by younger women and the lifestyle being poor) are the critical factors in Elvis's success with the women. However, I think a bit of credit has to go to Elvis's very direct, straightforward, and yet still almost somewhat shy approach to these women. They clearly don't seem to be being approached by many men here the same as back home where a good looking woman will deal with maybe 30 or 40 approaches a day. And Elvis doesn't BS them, if they aren't interested he moves on. And he is relentless - he approaches and approaches and approaches. He also has some good responses when they express some resistance (eg. if they say they have a boyfriend, he'll say something like well, if it doesn't work out with the boyfriend or if you find he's cheating on you, give me a call). His approaches rarely last more than a couple of minutes each and he can come home after two hours with 12 numbers in his pocket (which he did the day I arrived). The people here are very friendly and that certainly seems to also be a factor. When I was sitting next to the girl at the airport in NY, there was a couple sitting across from us, another single girl sitting to the right of them, and another single girl sitting to my left, all of whom looked like they were from the DR. A couple of times (this being before I started talking to the girl I ended up sitting next to on the flight), all of these people spoke with each other and, while the conversation was in Spanish and I didn't understand it, it sure looked like they knew each other well - but the girl I started talking to told me that none of them knew each other but that that is the way they are in the DR, everyone is very friendly and they treat each other as if they all know each other.
On my first full day there, after leaving the girl off, we went out on the hunt and Elvis collected phone numbers. Elvis was very generous in that he would pursue for me the ones I found attractive (there was next to nothing for me to do, as no one spoke English). At 4 pm we had a "date" with two girls (my guess is that these two were 20 years old) who had called (there's no way Elvis remembers who was who, other than if he got a girl's number he was attracted to her so it didn't matter who showed up) and we picked these two up at the bus station. One of them was quite attractive (Elvis was crazy about her but he turned her over to me) and we ran them through the process. Elvis ended up sleeping with (and very quickly) the other girl and I was in the room with the attractive one. While I got her top off and made out with her, it turned out she was on her period and it didn't go too far. Alberto could tell it wasn't happening and knocked on the door and cut it short. We took these two back to the bus station where again I gave them a few pesos for bus fare. The girl had talked to me about seeing me the next day and going to the beach - boyfriend/girlfriend talk, although in broken Spanish/English. Later on we had another date set up with Diana, a very cute 18 year old. I recognized her when she showed up - Elvis had picked her up with me earlier in the day and she had spoken with Alberto after that.
We run her through the process and I end up having sex with her for an hour or so and again we talk about seeing each other again. Now I have been here a night and a day and I have had sex with two women and made out with a third.
Alberto was going out clubbing that night but I was too tired (we had taken that hotel room the night before after midnight and were out of it before 9 am, and I can assure you I didn't sleep that much in that room). Part of Thursday, as we did everyday, was spent walking with Elvis around Santiago looking for girls (Santiago, while not a tourist town, has 1 million people). Elvis would constantly complain that he doesn't have enough time to get all the girls he wants but there really isn't enough time in the day for him to do all the women that are lined up for him (Alberto claimed that he had 35 women backed up waiting to see him and that for some of them if he didn't work them in soon enough they would stale out). He does his approaches continuously, only usually debating with himself if the girl is attractive enough or not for him. I was continually amazed at how efficient he was - he gets in and out fairly quickly (he says he does this to minimize the possibility of him saying the wrong thing or of letting the interaction drift the wrong way). Most of the responses are surprisingly positive - his preference is very young women and he likes the ones that "touch his dirty old man buttons." It's quite a mind twist to watch him get these responses from attractive young women as he looks his age (picture Jack Nicklaus today at 66 - there are actual photos of Elvis on his websites, the addresses of which are at the bottom of this report). Today a girl that we met on the street, Diana (who was dressed very provocatively) was put through the process and again, I did her. She was 21 years old and turned out to have two kids - she had quite a lot of scar tissue on her stomach from probably having Caesarean sections and this somewhat turned me off and I didn't come. She was quite hurt by this and got a bit cold at the end of the session. We took her home and then another one, a 21 year old, was picked up and brought back to the pad. This girl was pretty attractive but just didn't quite do it for me and I decided I didn't want to do her but I took pictures with her, including one of her making out with me.
I realized that the women that we had been focusing on have all pretty much been fairly attractive but somewhat lower class and I wanted some of that higher class sizzle I get from the 9's & 10's back home. In order to accommodate me, Elvis and Alberto gave this some thought and Alberto gets in touch with Maria (see John's report that was posted in the last Cliff's List) and arranges for her to set me up with one of her model friends. This is arranged for Friday night. Juana, the first girl I did, calls and wants to speak to her boyfriend (me) and informs us that she wants to come and see me again and was going to bring her sister with her. I immediately thought threesome but it turned out she was bringing her sister (who she said was more attractive than she was) to meet Elvis. But when I told Alberto and Elvis about the threesome idea, they said it could be arranged. A lot of what they are able to pull off with the girls goes back to telling them that what they are suggesting they do relates to the different American (or in my case, Canadian) culture (although as I get to know Alberto, it becomes clear he is the brains behind the scheduling and the coordinating and will come up with whatever explanation is necessary to get the desired results). I learn more about what he does: for example, when Alberto will send me into the room to get undressed and wait for the girl while he talks to her, he builds trust by talking about her family and her life in general and explains that I come from a different culture and how while he understands that here normally a guy would meet with the girl, go to see her family, and go through the usual long process (that typically ends with a kiss on the cheek), but that American culture is different and the guy usually wants to see how the girl is when making love and then they would become more serious and meet the families. So her primes her up to go into that room ready to rumble and a big part of the experience is to go for it as soon as possible before she starts thinking too much and possibly changing her mind. Turning that girl down (which she doesn't really know what is happening because she doesn't understand English and Alberto will give her some explanation such as a business call came in and we had to go to a meeting) turned out to really push her buttons as she called on Friday and we picked her up, took her back to the pad and Elvis took her in the room this time. She turned out to be on the rag but did blow him - but because Elvis didn't full close her, Alberto immediately brought a back up, another girl who had been trying to see Elvis for the second time for six weeks and they brought her back to the pad and Elvis did her. She was a very young looking girl, probably 18 or maybe younger (I don't really want to know!) who Elvis told me wants to move in with him.
Thursday night I went out with Alberto to check out the club scene. We start out going to this one club and meet this quite attractive girl that is a friend of Alberto's. Alberto claims to have a huge number of girl friends on the island and he is clearly very good with women. The more I learn about Alberto, the more I realize how critical he is to the system that is in place with Elvis. From what I have gathered, they have both gained from each other's unique talents and ideas - Alberto admitted that he had in the past done somewhat more traditional dating (and with many less attractive girls) and had spent money on women and ended up with nothing at the end. Elvis claims to have taught him a few things and this has made a big difference. On the other hand, Alberto is the filter and the engine that keeps Elvis in pussy. His phone rings pretty much 24 hours a day and he is always scheduling "dates" and backups (he always has a back up in his pocket). He helps keep Elvis from getting women mad and keeps them simmering for their chance at the King. For example, while I felt bad for a few of the women I saw and gave them a few pesos (and I didn't give to all of the girls, incidentally), Elvis never does this. Alberto can tell when not giving them something is a mistake (for example when the girl really needs a few dollars to eat and will be really hurt by Elvis's stingyness after the display of affection, Alberto would slip her a few pesos and, of course, tell her some reasonable sounding story which keeps her on their good side). There are women in the pipeline that have been continuously calling and waiting to see Elvis for months - clearly many give up but not all. The whole picture of these young attractive women continually chasing this older man is a real lesson to those who think age and looks are the be all and end all of getting women. Elvis also claims to have done his research before settling here when he found out that the culture here is that older men are more desirable here than younger ones. Alberto pointed out to me several young, attractive guys at the clubs just sitting around in the company of other men and he told me they were getting no where with the women. He also told me that it is different here - men who are in their 60's and 70's are, again, more desirable than younger men who are seen as players and not staying with women, as some examples. And the fact that if you are a white North American you are very different and attractive to them.
As Elvis doesn't usually go out to clubs, Alberto took me to a variety of clubs on Thursday night where we ran into a real range of women. The evening started off very usually as while we were driving around, Alberto spots a woman standing in the shadows on the street. We pull over and she comes up to car and I realize he had recognized her - this was the girl I had closed earlier in the afternoon. She gets in the car and while polite is a bit cold to me. We then drove to the first place, which was this outdoor sort of venue (picture a ramshackle metal roof suspended by wooden posts with a band playing). I smiled and was playful with the girl from the afternoon and she eventually warmed up and I knew I could have her again if I wanted. But I decided that I wanted to see where the evening would lead us so we managed to bring her somewhere she wanted to go to and then we were alone.
We came back to this place where we ran into these two girls who were apparently ready to go with us but (contrary to the other situations where I gave a few pesos which were never asked for) they wanted us to pay for their rooms. I was instantly attracted to the one that was to go with me, but I told Alberto I was turned off by having to pay. I understood his explanation about their culture, but I came from my own culture and was uncomfortable with the proposition. He told them in Spanish that I was looking for a girlfriend and we turned them down. While there, a table of four attractive women kept glancing at us - Alberto said we could have them join us in a second but we would have to pick up their bar bill so we didn't. They ended up joining another table of guys but I kept noticing them looking at me as they would pass near us to go to the bathroom during the night.
We went to another bar where again I noticed a lot of women giving me the eye as we walked in. One of them (clearly a working girl), an attractive girl probably in her late 20's (who Alberto remarked that she was spectacular when she was younger) comes up to me and takes my hand and starts fondling it. She walks right up to me,
took my hand and put it on her breast and tried to grab my balls but I took her hand away and shook my finger at her gesturing "no!" She then opened her top to expose her breast to me and I remarked to Alberto that the free samples weren't too bad but I was not a customer. We left there and went to a couple of other places but ended up
at Illusions, which is a combination nightclub strip joint and whorehouse (Alberto claimed that the reason the place was so packed - and it was packed with both men and women - was because the band that was playing there, which had a good 8-10 people in it, was the best band on the island). A couple of very hot girls came by our table and two of them sat on my lap (none did this to Alberto - a sign, again perhaps, of my preferred status as a white man and, in this case, potential customer). One of them, sits between Alberto and myself and made me touch her breasts and she also tried to grab my dick but I stopped her. Alberto told her I wasn't looking to pay a girl but that I was looking for a girlfriend. She said that I should pay her for that night and if we like each other then we could become boyfriend and girlfriend. I told him to tell her that in my culture it works the other way around - we sleep with the girl first and if she becomes our girlfriend then it costs us a lot of money. She told Alberto that I was a "tiger" and that I was very smart. When she realized that this was "No sale" she left and it seemed that she got the word around as the pros stopped dropping by after that. The place had a few shows of women doing a strip type performances (I was told that some nights it gets really wild, with live sex on stage and/or lesbian shows). Alberto spots a woman he knew and has been interested to get into bed for about 11 years - his first reaction was a bit shocked that she seemed to be working there. He tipped one of the bouncers to go up to her and tell her to come over and say hello. She told him she was still working at her regular job and was only there to see the band - she gave him her phone number again (he had been out of touch for a few months it seems) and it appeared to be the same number he remembered for her (Alberto seems to have a phenomenal memory - he claims to remember all the girls that he has met over the years and has managed to stay in touch with a huge number of them, and usually remembers their phone numbers. He is highly intelligent and speaks 7 languages). So even though this place (which, by the way, was the nicest of all the night clubs we visited) may sound like a men's place/strip club, "regular" women clearly came there too. We left that place around 3:30 am and Alberto in the car called up a girl he knew (I couldn't believe that he would call at such an hour but the girl he called answered and turned out to be out partying). In any event, we coordinate and meet her and two friends of hers on the street. Again, however, the question of some money comes up and I decide that this isn't for me. The two friends weren't unattractive, they just weren't that great either - and they were probably 17 or 18 years old. After this we call it a night.
Friday Alberto takes me to one of the best hotels in the city (Hodelpa Gran Almirante Hotel & Casino www.hodelpa.com) and I finally have a really good breakfast, and am able to hook up to the Internet in the business center. There were a few girls working in the hotel who spoke English, which has become by far the exception and not the rule. Friday Alberto spent coordinating what was to be the meeting with Maria's friend who is supposed to be comparatively beautiful. The date is set for 8:30 pm - I had wanted to see her during the day and not spend the rest of the day and evening waiting to see if it would go well with her or not but she kept putting off the time we were to meet and I speculated that I was finally meeting a girl who plays the typical hot girl "The Rules" type games we encounter back home. Part of the day I spent with Alberto driving around - on the way over to meet Elvis, we ran into this very attractive (but young looking) girl who is on the street walking somewhere. Alberto pulls over and talks with her for a few minutes, after which I ask her who she is. He says she is one of his regulars and it turns out she is 15 years old and he's been seeing her for 8 months (Alberto claims to have around 50 "regulars," including 5-6 that he sees every week or so). Clearly anything goes in the DR - Elvis at one point told me none of his "top ten" were over 18 years old. For the record, I don't condone this but I don't think it's my place to stick my nose into it either. We pick up Elvis spend the day with him on the hunt in the downtown. Elvis collected a series of phone numbers and gave out his number to a lot of women (he calls the ones he gives out where he doesn't get their number or where their apparently interest level is low his "lotto ticket" - he claims, however, that a lot of these women will call him and in fact, some of the ones that he met while I was there that didn't give him their numbers did call). We pass by Elvis's main house where the mother of his ex-girlfriend (the mother, the ex, and the ex's daughter he refers to as his adopted family) prepares lunch. We actually have eaten lunch at Elvis's main house every day where the mother prepares a more healthy meal than is easily found elsewhere. While at the house, Elvis shows me his computer and gives me a slide show of his women - the sheer numbers are staggering. Alberto points out that the bed I am sleeping on at the bachelor pad, between him, Elvis and various guests, has easily been the site of where 3,000 women were done over the last 5 years. Elvis's photo collection appears to be never ending and the women range from 5-6's to 10's, with most of them being in what I would place as the 7-8 range. But that only reflects a small portion of the photos, as I didn't see more than a hundred at most. Alberto claims that Elvis absolutely must do a new girl every day or he gets very irritable - he won't give up if he hasn't done one and will go out looking for another one until he gets one if nothing is lined up. He claims to miss maybe 2-3 days a year, and that is mostly because he may be sick those days. Absolutely one of the big keys to this is what Elvis calls the Wingman System. And Alberto is probably the world's best wingman in the way he does this. Alberto seems to have a gift with women and develops rapport with all of them. He knows when one is going to work and when one is going to be a waste of time. They meet a girl, Elvis gets the number and Alberto will call (often telling the girl that he is Elvis) or the girl will call and Alberto will take the call. Alberto, as a good wingman, "bigs" up his buddy and primes the target for the close. It seems to work about 85% of the time. We meet these two girls downtown during the day and bring them back to the bachelor pad. One of them, a very sexy, tall but a bit overweight girl had been met the day before and Alberto had coordinated to meet them in front of the McDonalds downtown. She is there with her less attractive friend or relative and I sense that the friend is going to kill the deal. Sure enough, we get them back to the bachelor pad and they won't go in the house. The big one says she knows the neighbour next door and after some discussion with Alberto which as usual I don't understand they are left out side the house to make their own arrangements to get home and we just leave them there. So Elvis doesn't hit home runs all the time, that's for sure (and here's another solid example that money is not what is motivating these girls - if it were, and I know there will still be speculation about this because I didn't understand what they were saying in Spanish, then there would be no reason that these girls wouldn't have followed along as well).
That evening, Alberto takes me to the first outdoor bar that we had gone to the night before. However this is a different situation - for one thing, the next day (Saturday) is a
national holiday here and no one is working, so the clubs are expected to be packed. Maria's friend, who spoke with Alberto numerous times during the day and was to speak with him after 8:30, is not reachable. Her phone is off. Around 10 pm, Alberto calls Maria who gives him another number to call where he reaches her and finds out that her father had come home. Apparently fathers are very possessive and restrictive here and he had turned off her phone and she was required to quietly sit at home while he was there. Dominicans have a number of behavioral traits that we would find infuriating - such as in this case, they just wouldn't call and say they can't make it. Without going into all the details, we coordinate to meet her on Saturday at 5 pm now (the inability to reach her when we had a specific date set up also was convincing me more that here was more those "The Rules" behaviours being played out for us). At the outdoor night club, however, we coordinate to meet Maria and Alberto's back up, an attractive girl who was waitressing as a favour at this place this night for some reason that I didn't get. This night was an experience for me - you know those stories about how a hot girl walks into a club and has her choice of any guy there? Well this was my night to experience being the hot girl. We meet Maria and her cousin and the cousin's sister. I notice I am getting eye contact from every woman in the place. Alberto is the king, however, as all the women come around repeatedly during the night to come talk to him. We had brought with us one of his "regulars", a very attractive girl that he sees about once a month. But they come over and they are all giving me eye contact. First the waitress (whose name is Lisiele and who turns out to be 19) comes over and I do my camera routine. I would tell them I want to take a picture and have the girl sit on my lap. Alberto would snap a photo. Then I point to one cheek and she kisses that, and another picture is snapped. Then I point to my lips and they smile and then kiss me on the lips and a photo is snapped and about half the time I end up making out with them. I collect a number of sets of photos like this during the trip. With the waitress, who was the first girl I did this with that night, I made the mistake of being a little conservative and not going for the lip kiss. But shortly after, Maria's cousin comes over and I do the same thing with her - right in front of the waitress - and end up making out with her. Alberto informs me that Maria really finds me attractive and has told him that "I'm her guy", as does the cousin (meaning I could take either of them home that night). I try to do the same routine with the cousin's sister, but she makes some remarks about not sharing her man and that I need to make a choice (clearly indicating that I could have her if I wanted her but to the exclusion of the others). I had been joking about having all four of them get together (being the kind hearted soul that I am, not wanting to have any of them feel left out), but Alberto tells me that Maria is too proud to do that but that the cousin and the cousin's sister might. Without going into all the details, I joked with Alberto about numerous potential combinations. Another girl who was a friend of Alberto's came over to our table and she was just eating me up with her eyes - so I tried to do the photo routine with her too. But Alberto told me she saw what was going on and was afraid one of the other girls would start trouble but she told him she wanted to do it. So I had my choice of five women - any one of which were clearly ready to go with me. But now, however, the waitress appeared a bit hurt from me making out with the cousin in front of her - apparently not because I made out with the cousin but because I hadn't made out with her too. I decided that I wanted the waitress over the others and had to be playful with her to get her to warm up again. I ended up taking that photo of me kissing her and made out with her - keep in mind that my Spanish is limited to a few choice words (and I learned to express those choice words with as seductive tonality as possible when appropriate) so all of these communications are either mainly non-verbal or done through Alberto. We ended up dancing a bit (those merengue lessons turned out to come in handy) and spending a good portion of the rest of the time in the club making out. Long story short, after a stop at another club which I was telling Alberto was unnecessary and I was worried would possibly stale out the close, we take the two girls (Alberto's girl that he had come with and the waitress) back to the bachelor pad where I proceed to have the best sex of the week pretty much all night with her. I found out from Alberto that his girl was concerned that the screaming they heard from my room was me hurting her (for the record, anytime a girl would make any kind of motion or sound that could indicate pain or being uncomfortable I stop and ask - in this case the few words related to the screaming could be roughly translated from the Spanish to "More! More!"). So I am here three days and four nights and I have done four girls, a different girl every day.
Saturday morning, we drop Lisiele off and Elvis, Alberto and I head back to the hotel for breakfast. After eating, I go down to the business center to check email and tease the girl working there who speaks English. I told her I had learned a few words of Spanish (like "Diablo, Mami" which, when delivered with the right tonality seems to translate as "You devil, baby" and "te gusta" which would translate to "do you like what I am doing to you?" and which got her laughing hysterically) but that my knowledge of the language was pretty poor. After breakfast, we drove around the barrios, or really poor slum areas where some of Alberto's family lives. Alberto, 38, has five kids and one on the way. He comes from a family where his mother and father produced 32 offspring - the father from two wives and the mother from two husbands if I understood correctly. After meeting Alberto's daughter and son, we drive around and I spot a reasonably attractive young lady and Elvis moves into action. This time, while he gets her phone number, he brings her back to the SUV to introduce me and, one word after another, she's in the car with us headed back to the bachelor pad. Bada bing bada boom, she's put through the process and Elvis has done his deed for the day. But Elvis turns out not to be done for the day - one of his "top ten girls" (none of which are over 18) calls and wants to see him. Apparently she's been calling daily for six weeks trying to get to see him, and this time she gets through. We had been at Elvis's having lunch while Alberto picked her up and then we walked several blocks from Elvis's main house where Alberto picked us up (to avoid any possibility of the girl figuring out where he lives) and, after a little squabbling between Alberto and Elvis, we take her back to the bachelor pad and Elvis is two for the day.
My agenda for Saturday is filled with promise and back up. Juana and her sister were supposedly coming into town to see me and had called repeatedly. Lisiele had made it clear that she wanted to see me again (some of the things that Alberto told me these girls said about me are just too much to repeat here - whether they actually said this or not, the trip was quite an ego boost from the way the girls were reacting). And then there was Flora, the model that is the friend of Maria, who appears to be coming
through. Without going into all the details (because she delayed, became unreachable, etc. and played the typical hot girl games that we normally expect), we first pick up Alberto's date. Then we pick up Flora and her two friends, Raquel and Annie. All three are very hot, Flora having a sick body (probably the best pair of breasts I have seen in ages and she knew how to present them; she was wearing a drape-type top with no bra and they were just spectacular) and Raquel was very, very attractive having a great face and a nice body, but Flora's body was just over the top. Alberto ends up leaving one of the friends off and dropping me and Flora and Raquel off at a bar while he goes to take care of something with his girl. He says he will be back in a half hour but that turned out to be two and a half hours later. Although Flora spoke a touch of French (about as much as I spoke Spanish), I was seriously challenged to develop some rapport using primitive sign language, my extremely limited Spanish and facial expressions and tonality. Over the course of the evening, I teased them with the way I looked at them (alternatively seductively and fed up a la Payton Kane, for example), the way I sat (slouched back a la Badboy), the way I touched them (my own specialty) when I would say something to them (hold their cheek or caress their scalp or shoulders and neck with one hand while I spoke softly into the ear on the other side) and any way I could. I run the photo routine on both of them and have pictures of me kissing both of them. By the time Alberto comes back to the bar, Raquel seems to have fallen in love with me and had really pushed (via sign language) to trade phone numbers with me (she was not the only one during the week to do this, but since I could barely communicate with the girls in person I can't imagine trying to talk to them on the phone) and I am sitting between the two girls with my arms around them caressing their scalps and stomachs and shoulders. Not bad for someone who could barely communicate with two hot girls, hmmm? Towards the end of the time there, I have started to lightly caress Flora's breasts under her very flimsy (but not see-through) top. I knew Flora liked me but I could tell that she wasn't crazy about me - in fact, earlier in the evening she told Alberto that she was on her period. I was greedy and pushed Alberto to see if we could get the two of them to come back to the bachelor pad. We drove to this outdoor area where there was sort of a block party going on where Flora and Raquel met the third friend and went off and talked for while. Again, to get to the bottom line, Alberto comes back to the car with Flora telling me that they wouldn't go with me together (it seems that when it was time to get down to business, Alberto told Flora that since she was on her period he would take Raquel. It was at that point that she said, no, she would go so the story of the period was just a story). My biggest regret of the trip was that I hadn't expected only Flora to come back alone - if I had to choose only one, it would have been Raquel. Alberto tells me that Raquel would like to see me the next day (which is not going to happen as I was leaving in the morning). The way it happened I just went along with it. So we bring Flora back to the pad, I go in the bedroom with her and there's no resistance, but almost no passion either and there just didn't seem to be much that I could do to excite her. So while I got to play with that outstanding rack (and she had a phenomenal body - she was 5'9"-5'10" very slim and curvy; I did want to get a nude photo of her but she wouldn't let) it was a moderately dull experience (it was still pretty good from a few perspectives, let me tell you). After thinking about it, I think the reason Flora went with me only had to do with her competitiveness with her "friend", Raquel. She must have seen and known that Raquel really liked me so she had to "tag" me by doing me, even though she wasn't that into it - just to sort of spoil me for her friend, something that I consider quite mean on reflection. But meanwhile I have now gotten laid every day that I was here.
Other comments about the trip: Firstly, Elvis has experienced some serious financial setbacks over the last year and is very hungry for money. He continually was mooching money off me the whole trip and the trip ended up costing a lot more than I expected. If you make arrangements to go down and spend some time with him, I
suggest you make a very specific arrangement with him up front for his fees and expected expenses to be covered so you know what it is going to cost you. I wasn't as careful as I should have been with my wallet, and one of the girls (and I don't know which one) went into my pants when I was in the bathroom and lifted $300 from it. I was pretty lucky because nothing else was missing and the rest of the money I had wasn't touched - the $300 was sort of put aside so I didn't notice it at the time it was taken. Secondly, expect to see run down, ramshackle, burned out, slum living pretty much everywhere you go in Santiago. Roads are in terrible shape, running water is not guaranteed (Elvis's shower in the bachelor pad basically trickled water into a huge vat which you would scoop water out of with a pitcher and pour over yourself in order to shower), electricity was not a sure thing (the lights were out for different periods of time), and I didn't find the food appetizing. I was glad that I had found out about and took Dukoral (a prescription drug that prevents Montezuma's Revenge aka traveller's diarrhea that needs to be taken two weeks prior to departure to the countries that can give this to you, such as here and Mexico; go to www.travellersdiarrhea.com/ for more information) before leaving - I strongly recommend you take this as I still had some reaction to the food and water I ingested while there (I have a mild sort of diarrhea which is not uncomfortable and that being not uncomfortable I attribute to the medication, but clearly something is off in my system). I also had Twinrix shots for hepatitis and am taking pills to prevent malaria. The continuous state of poverty was quite depressing and you need to be prepared to see this (it definitely makes you appreciate your own life greatly when you see how others live). The weather was reasonably hot and tropical but it did rain a number of times during the week. We never went anywhere near any tourist areas (other than the better quality hotel where I was able to get a good breakfast at) and none of my time was spent here doing vacation type activities other than going out to pick up women and then going out to clubs at night. Clearly Alberto and Elvis make a very good team and I think there are some good lessons to extract from the wingman system. I remember when I was younger (and before the seduction community and the internet) a friend of mine used to go out with a friend of his to pick up. They would approach two girls, each one going to talk to the target of the other guy. During their conversation, each guy would "big up" the other guy and after awhile they girls would be looking over at the guy their friend was talking to. Eventually they would switch partners and it apparently made the closing pretty smooth. Alberto credits the success they have had to the wingman system. I think the combination of Elvis constantly putting women into the pipeline and Alberto managing them with tremendous dexterity is the winning combination. On an objective level, the whole thing I saw made no sense. Here's a 56 year old man who looks way older than you would think hunting down hot young women and having sex with at least one new one every day. If you need your limiting beliefs fried, spend a week with Elvis.

EPILOGUE: After returning home (and writing up most of the above), I spoke with a non-community friend about my trip. He had also, it turned out, recently been down to the DR. He has a friend, originally from Canada, who now lives in a suburb of Santo Domingo. My friend went down there and he had six girls in six days. Now my friend doesn't speak Spanish either, and he met all the girls he met through his friend who does speak Spanish. He told me that as long as you treat the girls well, you will have no problem. They have great attitudes there and are much more open to sex than the women here. He also remarked that these girls were not pros and because he was in the suburbs and not in a tourist area, being a white man was a big attraction - he has given serious thought to moving there but expressed concern (as I have) about the quality of health care one could get there.

Melbourne Lair: The place, an open shopping center in the heart of the city. I sit down at the food court and wait for familiar faces to arrive. I picked the location of this months meeting of the Melbourne Lair, Its great to have it in an informal place like a food court, sets a nice relaxing mood. Once everybody arrives we push some tables together and start the meeting. We discuss peoples sticking points and offer suggestions, we tell stories of crash and burns and success stories. We just shoot the sh*t, it f*cking great to meet up with like minded people. While telling someone my smurf routine, I see two guys get up from the table and start walking away, I glance back later to see them sitting with a girl, these guys are approach machines.
The meeting goes on way too f*cking long, everybody's got a story to tell, advice to offer, we could talk to each other for days. I feel like this is Ocean's 11 and we are planning the big heist. There is the leader, he started the group. The guru, he's an encyclopedia of info. There is the joker, he can't stop negging and teasing everyone; f*cking Canadians. There's the approach machines, they can't follow the conversation because they are too busy following the nearest piece of ass. There is the SSer, the grease boy and of course Brad Pitt. We all exchange numbers before leaving and make plans for sarging during the week. If there is a Lair in your area, join it, if there isn't, start one of your own. You will not regret it.

New Dating/Seduction Seminars & Workshop in Montreal by DOC!
Doc, who many of you know from his great interview here last time and all too rare but outstanding posts on this list, on Mystery's Lounge, and the Montreal Lair, is bringing his seminars and speed dating events to Montreal. Previously they were mainly held in Toronto as part of the Learning Annex, Doc is now setting it up here and plans to hold events on a monthly basis.

The events are Dating Secrets for Women, a 3 Hour seminar (cost $50) and Dating Secrets for Guys; a Guide to The Art of Dating (also 3 hours and $50). The fall calendar has a full weekend seminar and makeover. He also has 3 new books coming out this fall under the SETNA Dating Manual Series. What method are YOU using?
If you are opening groups (or sets: 2-sets, 3-sets, mixed sets, etc) of people with the 3 second rule by stacking indirect openers (including false opinion openers), false time constraining (discovered by Style), demonstrating a higher value to your romantic interest’s peer group with high octane DHVs while she obliquely observes (locking her into her own set with a prop), and simultaneously performing false disqualifiers (which include negs) on her with the intension of disarming her peergroup and then isolating her to rebuild her self-esteem once you have enough IOIs (indicators of interest) so you may share in a comfort and trust building effort and then build in a jealousy subplot to solidify her attraction for you, you are using The Mystery Method.
If instead you are only approaching women who are alone, you are greatly limiting your options and quite likely alienating your target's friends. Do you want a lonely woman (why is she lonely?) or a woman who already has a healthy social lfe? Truth is, healthy women have healthy relationships ... sometimes good friendships with guys. Like it or not, you will have to meet these women with men in her group.
Women of beauty are rarely found alone. Don't miss the opportunity to meet and attract them WITH social proof from her very own peergroup. Group Approach Theory (GAT - created by me) improves your options and increases the chances for attraction DRAMATICALLY over Single Approach Theory (SAT).
