"I'm just curious... have you ever been worried that someone with
half-decent 'outer game"/"conversational skills" will just come in and take
the females you care about away?"
Answer:
"Inner Game" is a convenient euphemism for having a "Satisfied
Sense-of-Self". The more richly developed you are AS A PERSON, the less
crafty and manipulative you need to be as a Player.
To be a 'Worthy Playboy' you must develop yourself as a Renaissance man; you
should endeavor to gain a broad-base of knowledge in areas you believe
people who'd interest you will be versed.
You should be comfortable and confident enough to carry on conversations
with women on subjects you have historically known nothing about, by
candidly and sincerely encouraging them to share THEIR insights with you.
NEVER FORGET: Everyone's favourite subject is themselves, and NOTHING makes
you more attractive to another person than being INTERESTED in what they
have to say. This works for men and women alike - but women are far more
impressed when they receive this attention from men (since most men are
usually too arrogant to concede they might not know everything... schmucks.)
Never be ashamed of NOT KNOWING, because A) no one can know everything,
and B) they will be DELIGHTED that their knowing something you don't isn't
intimidating to you - and they will be flattered that you're man enough to
let them teach something to you.
Wrap your mind around this, and everything else will make sense to you:
Inner-Game isn't something you get taught, it isn't something you study -
it's something you must EARN. And the irony is, ONLY YOU can award it to
yourself.
Self-confidence is like Freedom: You must EARN it, it can't be bought,
borrowed, or stolen, nor can it be given away.
(When Freedom is GIVEN to you, that's ACTUALLY abandonment. Think about it!)
So - by earning your own respect, and satisfying yourself that you are
becoming more fully-realized with each new experience you have, you begin
TRULY to like yourself.
As you progress, you will become comfortable that ANY PERSON (man or woman)
with whom you interact will be better-off for knowing you (even if it's
simply because you proved to them that GOOD MEN still exist, and find THEM
interesting) and that they will feel better about themselves because they've
spent time with you.
Most of all, you must become SELF-ACTUALIZED - in other words, you must find
your comfort with yourself based on your successfully following your own
path, and NOT narcisstically through the approval of others. Permitting
yourself to be held-back from progress because you fear the disapproval of
people you don't look up to is CRAZY!
If you ONLY DO THE THINGS WHICH MAKE SENSE TO YOU, in which you find
yourself BOTH cerebrally and emotionally settled, and where your conscience
is comforted, you are acting with REASONED CONFIDENCE. This is the rational
way of leading your life - follow this internal guideline and you'll NEVER
have reason for regret, and no justification for embarrassment, EVEN if
things don't work out immediately.
Step back for the experience, and simply return to the plan to see if the
problem was situational or persistent, and modify your plan as necessary
before trying again.
The only guilt you should EVER feel is the guilt of letting yourself down;
the ONLY embarrassment, the embarrassment of making the same mistakes over
again.
Once you lead your own life, and conscientiously make all your decisions
this way, with Reasoned Confidence, when you are met with disapproving or
taunting jibes from 'the peanut gallery' simply take note of it - then DO as
you will, and watch as your detractors become your admirers.
After that, it will not matter how impressive-seeming or novel the
interlopers will be, the people who TRULY matter to you will never go far...
They will know a good thing when they see it (YOU), and be unwilling to let
it go.
In the ultimate case, they will have met someone who is YOUR peer - so you
should greet them as a friend, and expect that they will respect your
territorial claim; or perhaps your girl has been approached by someone even
further developed than you are yet*- and THOSE Players have much better
things on their mind than cuckolding junior Players who are clearly on the
noble path. There's PLENTY of beautiful girls to go around.
*(In this case, be respectful, disarming, and appreciative to the
more-established Playboy... He will immediately catch-on, and become your
Wingman, out of respect - for he EARNED HIS INNER-GAME TOO - and Game knows
Game. Respect is your most powerful tool - be cautious not to give it out
undeservedly, or it devalues... but don't EVER make the mistake of
withholding it from the deserving, or YOU demonstrate yourself unworthy -
and you won't appreciate how things will go from there.)

Review of Dr. Paul Seminar Tell her something about her is sexy I hung out with Dr. Paul (doctorpaul.net/products.htm) and Benjamin Black, his partner in crime, during the Cliff's List Convention in July. Ben told me that they are now holding workshops in Chicago and that I should come.
For those who don't know Dr. Paul, he produced an inner game product called the Mind OS program. I had bought it last year and thought it was amazing. Learning that he was now on his own and teaching outer game as well, I was intrigued.
Ben invited me down to stay with him, so after finding a cheap flight; I booked myself a seat for the Seminar. Dr. Paul was presenting a new program called The Omega Male, which is new material on dating and relationships in a classroom setting during the day and Ben would be was holding in field workshops at night.
A few days before I left I sat down to really kick around why I was going and what I wanted to get out of the trip. I have studied almost everything out there in the past two years and was interested to see what new ideas Dr. Paul had. Reflecting about where I am in the Game right now in terms of skill level, my biggest sticking point was attraction. Even though I am meeting women though social circle and cold approaches and getting day 2’s I am getting stuck with physical escalation.
Secondly, I have tried using my cold approach experience to build attraction in a social circle setting and found it was too high energy. I was looking for a way to build attraction by conveying personality as quickly as possible.
With an open mind I flew in Thursday afternoon, damn it was hot. Arrived late afternoon at Ben’s place. He has set
up a Project Chicago. Really cool pad, two floors, rooftop terrace, built for pickup no doubt.
No TV, every MPUA I have met does not own a TV. Mental note to get rid of TV.
We head out to meet Dr Paul, a few of the instructors and a couple of other students at a local tavern. We were just chilling since the seminar did not start until Friday and it was cool to meet them and talk to them before the seminar started. As soon as we walked in Ben opened a 2 set, he was so smooth I thought he knew them. He eventually brings them over to where we are sitting, damn the guy is good. Not much happens after that, another student and I open a 2 set that turned into a 4 set. One girl asked for his number and didn't want him to leave. My first set of the week-end besides teasing the waitress.
Day 1
We started early on Friday. Dr. Paul planned on teaching his material over three days. Seminar during the day, in field at night. There were eight other students besides me. I was the only one from the community, the rest were newbies who have never sarged and were not familiar with the community’s breadth of knowledge and theories.
Dr. Paul was teaching how to attract, keep and commit to a relationship by what he calls being an Omega Male. It was his full theory on the subject of pick up and dating. It has new material and concepts that have not been presented to the community as of yet. Like I said I have studied it all and was interested to see what would be new.
He was breaking down the dating model into his unique phases, which he promised go way beyond just being an alpha male and presents a more complete model.
We talked about attraction a lot on the first day. Perfect! Starting with my sticking point right off the bat!
His attraction model presented detailed science as to why attraction occurs and why certain tools the community teaches work and others don't work. The difference was that other programs teach all the guys the same skills and techniques which make guys present themselves as similar characters. .
Dr. Paul was teaching how to build attraction with your own unique character and archetype. He did not give us tools, he was teaching how to use the tools and when.
He broke down the attraction model with theory and used many movie clips to show actual examples of what he was trying to explain. It broke up the theoretical portion of the workshop and kept the seminar flowing nicely.
I realized I was missing the ability to form attraction at a basic level right from the beginning. The missing piece.
It was time to take all the theory he taught us and go into the field and try it.
They arranged to have everyone meet for dinner at the same place right after the seminar. We got to meet the rest of the instructors, but most of them were hanging out at the seminar anyway.
After dinner we split up into groups, mostly 2 students for one instructor. However I was put with 3 other students. It made sense because I did not need to be pushed to open, I just needed some pointers, and the instructors could spend more time with the new guys. It worked out well.
In the first Bar as we walk in Ben immediately started opening sets and had the 3 other guys observe for a while. I hang back. I go wing with another student who opened a 4 set. I chat up one girl for a while, a good warm up. I talk to her for 15 minutes, isolated her down the bar and kept in mind to try one of the things that were discussed in the seminar.
My goal was to work on waiting for more IOI’s before going into qualifying. Which I tend not to do. I really tried to stay in the attract phase only. That was my goal for the night.
Switched to talking to her friend, much better conversation, got good IOI’s but should have stayed longer flirting. Again I isolated her and we chatted for 20 minutes. Opened a couple more sets before we left.
In the second bar I opened a 3 set with high fives as soon as I walked in. Another student winged me, we kept it high energy and ejected.
I reopened them a couple of times, in between opening a couple of other sets. I then winged the same student who opened a two set. His target was cool but her friend was really unfriendly and wanted to leave.
I reopened the 3 set one more time. As I was chatting, their male friend came up behind me to AMOG me. I kept my back to him, ignored him and one of the girls motioned him with her hand to leave! Kinda cool. Got big hugs from all the girls and we left to go back to Ben’s for a debrief.
We spend a while chatting with Ben on his roof, going over how we did. Ben gave me some real good advice, that were just small tweaks that he said would help. I was noting them for tomorrow night. He told me to lead with an explicitly sexual tone. Noted!
Day 2
Day 2 really got into a lot of MindOS and his King, Warrior, Magician, Lover system. Lot of the concept was from his Mind OS program. (he just received a US Patent for the model! Congrats!) But they blended really well into dating, where the first time I learned it was for inner game only.
He explained that having a strong inner game is required to be able to have a deep report with a women. You must eliminate internal anger and anxiety for a good friendship to take place.
Then he went into describing different archetypes and which best matches for dating. He already has a book out on the subject called King, warrior, magician, lover. He when on to explain each archetype, which one I was, interviewed instructors of different archetypes and how they use their personalities in pick up as an advantage.
He also discussed how to identify a woman’s archetype very quickly and how to see if she matches yours. Finally he talked about having integrity once you have that knowledge. All that info blew me away.
I was very fried from 8 hours of seminar and was unsure how my energy level in set was going to be. Solution, coffee and lots of it!
That night our mission was to identify different archetypes as we talked to women, it was really fun!
One thing I noticed was the improvement in the students as they were going into set. They were not staying in set for long but their body language and tonality were amazing! The instructors got them whipped into shape by the first night, very impressed.
I started opening sets to get warmed up. I opened 5-6 sets to start with; my objective was to test for their archetype. Good way to warn up.
I went downstairs to meet up with Ben and Dr. Paul, who I would be with again tonight. The other guys got new instructors to see different styles, but I asked to stay with Ben and they agreed it was a good idea.
Dr. Paul wanted me to play the pick up game (he picks a set and a crazy pick up line and I have to open). I see a 2 set near me with a really cute girl. I look at Dr. Paul, tell him to hold on a minute, and I open them. And of course in Marvi Style I end up in set with them the rest of the night!
They sent a student in set to wing me and I helped him out as much as I could, but I was running the whole set. He mostly watched which was cool.
What really made a difference was that I identified her archetype and started doing my usual cold reading and palm reading but this time adapted it to her archetype. She really appreciated it and I felt I connected with her at a deeper lever. I flirted for a long time and gave a few strong signals of sexual interest, which ramped up the whole interaction, kino went smoother and faster and we ended up making out right in the bar.
Funny story I was sitting next to her and got a text message. I open my message right in front of her and it said "tell her something about her is sexy..Ben" OOOPS, thank God she didn't see it!
I day 2 closed her to see her in a couple of days; I was in town until Tuesday so I figured I would see her Monday. Again Ben gave me a really great debrief.
I used all the suggestions and theory that was taught and it really tightened my game up.
I changed my usual approach. I kept it light, no stories until I got one strong IOI then DHV with storytelling and cold reading.
Day 3
The seminar was much better paced with more breaks which made it easier to absorb. I suggested the breaks because day 2 was too long without breaks and they listened for day 3. They seem to always be trying to improve the product.
Some questions went on tangents that were not necessary and should have been cut off sooner.
What was interesting was that they had some guest speakers with different topics such as Internet dating, Fashion, Social circle.
Day 3 was about committing to a relationship and to do it successfully. A lot of Mind OS stuff again but tied in nicely to the rest of the program.
My overall impressions are that he is trying to get the message out to the dating community and outside the community that other programs are based on either marketing hype promising a quick fix (those are his words and I don't know if I agree with that completely) or taking parts from different scientific theories to expand why techniques work.
They are selling tools to use but he is trying to teach how and when to use the tools and give a more effective sense.
He is coming from a place of already helping people with psychiatry and uses his knowledge to focus on dating and relationships.
He was honest, fun, direct and confident in his theories.
But where I think he takes things to a higher level is that he really bridges the gap between theory and practice. He didn't just hire a few guys to take guys out, he goes out himself and does it.
He is in the field opening sets, approaching and running game and showing how what he does applies to his theories.
Plus all his instructors are familiar with what he teaches and were congruent between them while at the same time having different personalities and style. There was no memorized opening lines or pumping students up to open. All the students were only given lines to use to break down approach anxiety.
The program was very realistic in what they can accomplish in a few days.
Guys new to the community will get the most impact obviously but I think there is something there for more experienced guys as well.
It really helps to put everything you learned into perspective and look at it in a new way.
I was able to get good advice that helped tweak my game and I did notice a difference in the field. I feel I have momentum to break through my current plateau. It was the first time I have a full out make out session in a bar (not club) from a cold approach in under 2 hours.
The instructors were great. There are some very strong PUA’s in Chicago. They are all really close friends that hang out together and learn from each other, that’s how they got good.
Sunday after the seminar we went to a karaoke bar to eat. All I can say is Dr. Paul singing Nine Inch Nails..head like a hole…that’s how you end a seminar!

New Dating/Seduction Seminars & Workshop in Montreal by DOC!
Doc, who many of you know from his great interview here last time and all too rare but outstanding posts on this list, on Mystery's Lounge, and the Montreal Lair, is bringing his seminars and speed dating events to Montreal. Previously they were mainly held in Toronto as part of the Learning Annex, Doc is now setting it up here and plans to hold events on a monthly basis.

What method are YOU using?
If you are opening groups (or sets: 2-sets, 3-sets, mixed sets, etc) of people with the 3 second rule by stacking indirect openers (including false opinion openers), false time constraining (discovered by Style), demonstrating a higher value to your romantic interest’s peer group with high octane DHVs while she obliquely observes (locking her into her own set with a prop), and simultaneously performing false disqualifiers (which include negs) on her with the intension of disarming her peergroup and then isolating her to rebuild her self-esteem once you have enough IOIs (indicators of interest) so you may share in a comfort and trust building effort and then build in a jealousy subplot to solidify her attraction for you, you are using The Mystery Method.
If instead you are only approaching women who are alone, you are greatly limiting your options and quite likely alienating your target's friends. Do you want a lonely woman (why is she lonely?) or a woman who already has a healthy social lfe? Truth is, healthy women have healthy relationships ... sometimes good friendships with guys. Like it or not, you will have to meet these women with men in her group.
