Thursday we commenced the Christmas shopping season on the Royal Mile and Princes Street. That night on the way to Ceilidh'ing, some British boys asked us for a light, and we ended up in a pub discussing wrestling names, porn, and how Julia kisses like a butch lesbian. Ended up in the flat of a sexy British man called Ciaran (one much akin to the persona Julia and I had been seeking after watching that British mystery show with the old lady and the snide British bastard). He had the perfect accent to make the word "naughty" make me practically melt. And of course, dirty talk is soooo much sexier with a British accent.

Being interested in social psychology and in the "foot in the door technique" of Cialdini, I tried asking women for the time. She will give you the time - everyone does this.
Once she does this, you exclaim how you are terribly late for your appointment and your cell phone isn't working - "Would you mind if I sent a text message to my friend to apologize for my being late?" This will usually be answered with a yes (sort of the Cialdini "yes ladder") and you send a message to your cell phone so now you have her number. You then thank her profusely, express profuse appreciation for her generosity, and leave. Then later on you call up her number and thank her again, but also ask her to join you for a coffee or a drink.

Can't You Be A MAN Without Being An IDIOT/JERK?
Once upon a time I got a call from a woman I had just met on-line that day (and would date soon thereafter). She wanted my opinion on whether to go out on a third date with a certain guy. (Now, if she has to ask, there is a 100% probability she is shouldn't go in any case, but I digress.) The first date had happened a week or so prior. She had felt manipulated and such all night, and the guy had been pushy about the sex thing right from the beginning. All the while, he wasn't really interested in learning much about her otherwise. Well, he didn't get what he was looking for, so the second date (which she somehow agreed to) was much of the same. They went out to a bar, and when he pushed to take her back to his place, she refused and went home to her own place instead. Now, all the while, the guy is (predictably) piling on lots of compliments, buying the drinks, etc. After that, he told her that she should come over to his place for dinner for date #3 . Once again, there was lots of pressure being felt.
So she called me.
Once I understood the situation as fully as I was going to, I agreed that if she didn't feel comfortable with this guy and was more distraught about the thought of dating him than excited about it, she should call him up and cancel. And I told her one more thing...not to be surprised when she told him this if he turned on her and started insulting her and telling her "she wasn't all that anyway". I told her that when and if this happens, she should not take any of it personally and in fact see it as ultimate confirmation that she made the right choice. Fifteen minutes later I got a text message that read, "He did exactly what you said he'd do. Surprisingly, I feel fine, relieved. Thanks!"
You’re welcome. By the way, I'm no genius. It’s just that guys like the one she was dealing with are so blasted predictable. They're the ones that women typically label as "Idiots" or "Jerks", or "I/Js" for short.
So despite successful manipulation into going on two dates, the I/J did NOT ultimately get the girl in the scenario above, contrary to popular belief regarding what's typical.
Why not?
The easy answer is that it's NOT I/Js who get women, it's MEN who get women. But is all MALE behavior necessarily BAD behavior like some of us have been brainwashed into believing these days?
I've got great news for you. You can be a MAN without being an I/J. Let's break down the difference between how I/J's act and how REAL men act. This should get rid of any confusion.
Idiot/Jerks can be characterized as:
1) Selfish. Especially sexually.
2) Lacking respect for women’s thoughts, needs, differences, or even their very personhood.
3) Impatient. Demanding and expecting immediate gratification.
4) Arrogant. They think they are better than you.
5) Manipulative. e.g. "If you were a nice person, you would..."
6) Meat-headed. Mental synapse disasters fueled by testosterone.
Manhood in and of itself is neither idiotic nor jerky. All men are indeed not I/J's. In this culture, Men Behaving Badly have become stereotypical enough that all things masculine are sometimes thought to be negative. Confounded by this, many men overcompensate. This means that in an attempt to portray a positive image to a woman, all masculinity essentially gets swept under the carpet. That's, of course, how guys fall into the "Nice Guy" trap and eventually land in the "Just Be Friends" sandbox. As every woman who has ever been with a guy who failed to attract her knows, the opposite of being an I/J is NOT being feminine. At least it had better not be if you want to succeed with women.
So, for the record, here are some male traits that are NOT necessarily I/J traits. Note that I/J traits above tend to be extreme versions or outright perversions of these:
1) Leadership. He has the date planned without her input, thank you...but somehow it’s perfect because he planned it around doing something natural and fun.
2) Chivalry. Don't let the occasional woman who acts "insulted" when you open the door for her affect you. Chivalry is about honor not insult. Oh, and it's not "kissing up" either unless you make it such.
3) Calmness / low reaction. Men are not I/Js if they talk or emote less.
4) Cockiness / confidence. "Face it. You love me. LOL." And so much better when funny, as well-documented by David D. et al of course. Note here the all-important difference between "cockiness" and "arrogance".
5) Sexual. Men and women all want sex. We are created that way. It’s how we act upon it that makes all the difference.
6) Looks at pretty women. Studies show it’s archetypal and hard wired chemically in men...there’s no changing it. So there's nothing WRONG with you for noticing attractive women.
Here’s something ironic. Remember my phone conversation? My new acquaintance said something very key the next time we talked. She mentioned that she was really frustrated with this guy for screwing things up. She thought he was a "hottie" and had gone in with high expectations. So imagine that...had the guy been a MAN instead of an I/J, things would have gone much differently for him. But I/J's don't get it, do they?

Wow..doesn't that seem to go against everything that is out in the industry!?
WHY isn't 'inner game' enough anymore?
First, let me say that I'm differentiating 'inner game' to
be a man's inner character; his personality, self-esteem,
interests, skillsets, etc.
As I said on stage in Montreal, there is more than just the 'inner' and 'outer' game.
There is the global or natural game; the biological game.
That is a man's true asset in seduction.
I've just made the clear differentiation.
INNER GAME IS NOT ENOUGH because there are now
other leveraged forces of power and influence that HAVE
entered the playing field of attraction and dating.
You can call it 'social influence' and the behavioral byproducts that exist in female 'inner' and 'social' character which has covered up her natural innocence.
That's why we have 40 year old virgins and our forefathers didn't have a problem. A big monkey wrench was thrown in the system and started turning it backwards.
This 'power' has causally effected and redefined mass
modern male and female behavior in the first place.
Yes, there is a lot of good but there are other effects as
well; just know your relationship to them.
Trying to align your inner game to a screwed up reality
that is controlled by people other than you can be
downright damaging.
No wonder guys feel like CRAP and have low self-esteem...they take the blame without understanding it while it feeds the divergent fantasy money-machine even more.
That is a HUGE burden for a man to (UNRIGHTFULLY) take on himself and his 'inner game' without true awareness.
Ignorance is not bliss unless you LIKE playing a numbers
game or you think that's the only way it can be.
When you approach a woman, your initial power leverage ratio is 1:1 if you're betting on your Inner character or 'inner game'.
Often you're going up against a power ratio of 100,000:1 right up front because of that woman's beauty and social status/character - and there's no denying it; she IS the prize no matter how you try to justify it and she could sleep with 100,000 men.
That's why it's so easy to get behaviorally incongruent
and crushed. And why WOULD they be interested in
someone with less power or status than them?
See why it's seemingly so damn difficult! They're just looking for real men.
Inner character is what matters LEAST up front to women despite what their social expectations say. THEY DON'T KNOW YOU yet.
So don't take that rejection personally anyways; it's a pre-game of relational power and with all the blame on your inner character and little to no natural character leverage you're going to lose and be continually devastated.
Aside from your true relationship to her, they're judging your natural and social character/status the most.
Yes, personality matters for the long haul but if you don't have truly EQUAL power or greater in relation to her, you're going to stumble and most relationships will never really begin from the get-go.
Sadly, 99/100 you ARE lower than her on the social scale
because there, she IS the stimulus..the prize.
The solution?
Just don't be a part of that whole systemic relationship
of
her - stimulus
you - conditioned response for the architects
Consciously differentiate yourself from the root of it all
so that YOU have the power.
DHV'ing and negging is a way to try and balance out that relationship of power but why go through all of that?
Why not just 'BE' powerful in the first place in relation to
her? Why not let your 'greater than inner self' biological
character 'take over' and see how it operates?
This is probably the greatest and most overlooked thing in the entire seduction community.
Things are essentially SIMPLE.
Are you continually 100% independent and comfortable in your own skin in the face of her beauty and power? THAT is the ultimate test. If you are, then the game really begins.
Heck, sometimes that's all you need with the most beautiful of them (why do you think they go for low inner character
JERKS? Because they're truly independent and powerful in relation to them).
It's not about any techniques or what you 'say'..it's about who you are and what you represent. Women are leveraging power in their social character. It's up to you to leverage the infinite power in your natural character up front.
Then it's open season for raising her attraction response in primarily her natural character, but to get there you have to be cleared on the power game.
It's a lifestyle, baby; before during and after connecting with beautiful and powerful people.
I'm not talking just when you're alone, I mean when you're in relation to her - face to face...up against all the sexploitation that she represents; can you hold yourself?
The most real relationships are often the most invisible.
You just have to start being cognizant of them. It's these other powerful dynamics that have altered the 'game'.
With Alpha R.D. I deal with pure relational elements..just like the most effective productions, systems, computers, programs, designs, electronics and architecture.
There are relational elements in everything when you de-construct it. Basing off of the relational formula of dependency - independency - interdependency ..for the first time, we can leverage power like never before where it matters the most; with you, women and the relational elements of power!
Nuclear power is created by dealing with pure, simple elements.
Any impurities in the neutron moderator materials will not be able to sustain critical moderation or harnessing of the power. It's too damn inconsistent and volatile.
Many seduction teachers are dealing with impure relational elements when it comes to female and male behavior because they are caught up in behavioral and variable byproducts or action effects (what to say when she does 'this'..) without dealing with the pure, root elements that define it in the first place.
Your masculinity is natural; her feminine response is natural.
That's nature and it's more powerful than either of you.
Nurture (which is ROOTED in Causality; power and influence) defines her Inner and Social character (as well as yours).
It's the butterfly effect through social environment and time.
Just be grounded in your cognition and relationship to the elements of power involved and you'll be very powerful and effective.
Maybe you'll wonder why you ever studied techniques.
Statistics prove there are more singles now in N. America than ever before in history. Not only that, first world countries have lower birth rates than ever, while more natural countries flourish in birth rates.
Social Influence.
It's the one thing that has allowed women to accelerate and leverage their Inner and Social character. They now do have very REAL power, but it often gets in the way of their own dating and mating success (while you get the brunt of the blame and lower character).
If you want consistent success with women, you have to
effectively deal with this 'pre-game' of power before the real game begins NOT DURING because your true relationship to her was already evident.
A desirable woman who can have sex with just about any guy IS looking for a man her equal or greater (in power or status).
Fortunately you have 3 characteristic areas from which to get to equal power or greater than her with (before you go approaching).
All three of these combined represent you - not just one of them.
Isn't it time to drop some jaws with your nonverbal body
language and presence? Acting it won't do it either. It's got to be pure physiological representation.
And it's not your Inner character that sets the tone of the initial power relationship, it's your relationship to her itself; the real-ational power dynamic.
Are you the stimulus? Is she the stimulus? It may often be very slight but it will be found out because she's testing you for it.
Do you crumble in relation to her any bit? After how long?
Then she is the stimulus and she's not going to be interested other than fool's mate.
Before she gets to your inner character, it's your natural and social character which she will continue to extrapolate and judge you on.
Once you understand the relational dynamics involved you actually WILL grow immensely in natural character because it's just been repressed...it's been there all along.
You just have to clearly have cognition of, and then differentiate yourself in relation to the characteristic elements and powers involved that define her behavior in the first place.
I take guys practically through it with 'relational mapping'.
I don't see any other real fix for us guys who live in a social culture who WERE influenced by it. Applied knowledge is power. I don't want to go back to ignorance because it WASN'T bliss.
Now I'm moving on to enjoying and pleasuring women Without resentment; seeing right through to their truth and without ignorant naivete.
I can now even respect their massive development (after a purging phase!) because I know where I stand in relation to all of it without it throwing me off. You too will know 'how' to edify when you can retain the power.
You can use techniques to try and help but it's just a band-aid solution that makes the teacher look like they're teaching you something and making progress when really you're just 'acting'.
You cannot 'act' around the most beautiful and powerful women.
You have to BE that man of strong character before, during and after your interaction with them.
I thought it was impossible before to be truly comfortable as I used to be thrown off around the most beautiful and powerful ones. Now, there is no fear because of applying relational dynamics.
I know who I am in relation to all powers of influence and only operate on a different relational dynamic; interdependence.
Like I said..
Women will KNOW if you ARE or you AREN'T and they will
continue to test you to make sure that you really ARE that man.
Most guys are either the response, the response but acting like they're not the response (most PUA's), or they're co-dependent on her in some form (nice guy wussies).
Her hero is the truly independent man (with character!) in relation to her power, who makes no excuses for it and just 'is'.
Look for the real relationship that exists and defines the entire context.
Because of men being the response in the TRUE relationship to the woman; ANY kind of approach will eventually or abruptly lead to insecurity, nervousness, palpitations, incongruency, doubt, wussiness, etc. and it will clearly show through because he already defined his TRUE relationship to her BEFORE it began.
Why? Because it's impossible to deny her beauty and sexiness. Portraying active disinterest is still akin to being in line to see her as a groupie at her pop diva concert.
He's in the WRONG RELATIONSHIP from the get-go and a
technique based approach to 'be' the prize is onto the right idea but it's child's play compared to harnessing raw relational dynamics and representing that powerfully in relationship to the world itself.
Any level of technique and so forth isn't going to change that power relationship dynamic. Getting out there and approaching more is a step in the wrong direction if ignorance still exists.
What's the answer (for more clarification)?
A relationship of pure Interdependence. When he is TRULY independent and comfortable in his own skin in relation to power, beauty and women, then women everywhere can be comfortable around HIM.
They'll start throwing out flirty nonverbal signals to let him know it's ok to approach instead of dismissively placing the impetus on him.
He must be truly congruent and comfortable and then he can say or do ANYTHING. No tricks, no techniques.
It's more about relational dynamics than personality because every guy is different in his 'inner game' anyways. Heck, look at the bad boys who don't give a damn and their level of low inner character (yet high natural).
1% or less is the man who is comfortable in his own skin in the face of leveraged beauty and social status of these women.
That man can let the game start because he always gets past pre-game by default where most other guys consistently FAIL and are putting themselves through a helluva lot more work.
He can have win/win relationships with women by raising their level of attraction to him and he does so consistently. Because he is what women want, often all he has to do is subtly showcase certain character attributes that further confirm her expectation (true colors).
The key is truly being independent and equal in power BY having an interdependent relationship with the root of power and influence itself.
With relational mapping you can differentiate yourself from the social matrix and get your power back (more than you ever had) like Neo does.
In fact, you might start thinking like an Architect even; one who has more power than the Paris Hiltons'.
Pharrell is fearless around women because of his set relationship to them; he is an architect..a producer. He feeds the social matrix instead of being a conditioned response.
While some guys will look at what words he says around women, that's too damn variable..it doesn't matter. Look beyond his body language and look at the TRUE relationship he has to them and social power itself.
He is always interdependent or the stimulus in relation to it, therefore he is more powerful than the women who define themselves socially by it.
The stimuli has power and is desired. The response is often fearful.
Choose to be the stimulus instead of being stuck as the
response to their sexploitation (a social CONstruct).
You don't have to be an Architect yourself but you can be a Neo by fully differentiating yourself and then choosing and managing the influential trajectories (bullets of coercive influence) from ever harming your character again.
Only accept thoughts, influences or programs which add value to your life instead of those that keep you as a conditioned response where someone else has the true power.
Define an interdependent and win/win ONLY relationship with the social matrix after you differentiate yourself from it and you will be liberated. You have that power.
Then know your relationship to the 3 root behavioral characteristics that define female behavior (2 which are the behavioral inspiration for her Inner and Social character) and seek to operate with a woman's natural character (s.o.n.a.r.r. or flirting).
With pre-game already won by default you're already warmed up and good to go.
How to get there? Alpha relational dynamics and Relational Mapping. That is HOW you take your power back and apply it. It's the leverage to make the quantum leap to Alpha.
Everything else (actions, lines, approaches, etc.) all fall into their
proper place because you're finally in powerful relational alignment.
If anything, social influence is YOUR bitch.
Inner Game is not enough through my definition because of the great initial pre-game of relational power. There, you are limited compared to the social leverage of her sexploitative attributes or strength of inner character.
Leverage your biological birthright and represent that; it's far greater than your own Inner Character could ever be and you'll finally be getting somewhere, fast.
When you're equal in initial 'power' relation to a woman and your physiology represents that truth of pure independent and character congruency, the consistency begins and the responses rise.
A metaphysical Neo; relationally aware and differentiated from the powers of influence above and around him.
And then operate purely interdependently in equal or greater power with all other people and forces of influence because you are now greater than the sum of the parts; a newer, stronger 'one'.

New Dating/Seduction Seminars & Workshop in Montreal by DOC!
Doc, who many of you know from his great interview here last time and all too rare but outstanding posts on this list, on Mystery's Lounge, and the Montreal Lair, is bringing his seminars and speed dating events to Montreal. Previously they were mainly held in Toronto as part of the Learning Annex, Doc is now setting it up here and plans to hold events on a monthly basis.

The events are Dating Secrets for Women, a 3 Hour seminar (cost $50) and Dating Secrets for Guys; a Guide to The Art of Dating (also 3 hours and $50). The fall calendar has a full weekend seminar and makeover. He also has 3 new books coming out this fall under the SETNA Dating Manual Series. Volume I (to be released this week) deals with the psychology of attraction, first impressions, and working on your inner game, Volume II (coming in September) deals with tactics and strategies to go from meeting her to dating her, and Volume III will deal with Managing Relationships.
Full-weekend Dating Makeover workshops will be offered soon (including a half day with a personal stylist, video tape analysis of body language, and live practice sessions with dating coaches beautiful women who will give the guys on the spot feedback on how they come across and what to improve). If there is a group of 10 or more guys interested in a seminar (or 5 guys for a workshop, he would consider making a special trip to their city).

What method are YOU using?
If you are opening groups (or sets: 2-sets, 3-sets, mixed sets, etc) of people with the 3 second rule by stacking indirect openers (including false opinion openers), false time constraining (discovered by Style), demonstrating a higher value to your romantic interest’s peer group with high octane DHVs while she obliquely observes (locking her into her own set with a prop), and simultaneously performing false disqualifiers (which include negs) on her with the intension of disarming her peergroup and then isolating her to rebuild her self-esteem once you have enough IOIs (indicators of interest) so you may share in a comfort and trust building effort and then build in a jealousy subplot to solidify her attraction for you, you are using The Mystery Method.
If instead you are only approaching women who are alone, you are greatly limiting your options and quite likely alienating your target's friends. Do you want a lonely woman (why is she lonely?) or a woman who already has a healthy social lfe? Truth is, healthy women have healthy relationships ... sometimes good friendships with guys. Like it or not, you will have to meet these women with men in her group.
