HOUSE PARTY CHECKLIST:
I go to probably 2-5 house parties EVERY WEEK, so let me share some of my secrets and tips..
Ok this is what I would recommend. Make SURE that you do this list.
1. Have your bathroom amazingly clean. This is not a good time to display your cologne selection... might get jacked.
2. Have plenty of Liquor... Beer is not as cool (girls like flavored beers though like Smirnoff or Mike's etc.)... Get Smirnoff Raspberry (or new green apple) Twist and a couple half gallons of Captain Morgan's or Admiral Nelson's... Alizea and Amaretto sour make for some GREAT mixed drinks.
2a. Learn some drinking games. Caps and beer pong for starters.
3. Have plenty of chasers... definitely a LOT of Coke. The new Sprite remix is the SHIT with Citrus Twist.
4. Make sure you have a reasonably loud/nice stereo and good cds PLANNED AHEAD!
Good music is REQUIRED. No cds? Tell people to bring them. If you want to chill, listen to chill music. If you want to party then listen to PARTY MUSIC.
Keep your good CDs hidden and use burned copies only. Download a bunch of mp3s off of edonkey and get a CD player that plays mp3's. Then you can listen to 1000 songs with only 1 CD. Do this before the fuckin' gov makes it illegal.
UPDATE: One of the worst things at a party is silence.. make sure this doesn't happen to you!
4a. A good party HAS TO HAVE DANCING! Keep it dark, most guys can't dance anyway, and girls lose their inhibitions and SHAKE DAT ASS
5. Have a smoke spot outside if you can't smoke inside... Have ashtrays out otherwise. Weed should be allowed inside, ciggs should be outside.
6. Keep the lights normal in some spots, but DIM the lights in most places. Trust ME! No dimmer? Turn off some lights or remove the bulbs. This will make people feel more at ease. Especially at first. The lights and the music are my pet peeves. Gotta have 'em right.
7. Have some of your best buds over like an hour early. Invite your guy friends and explain to them that they aren't allowed to bring ANY guy friends unless
they ask first! Tell them to invite ALL girls but to make sure the girls don't bring guys! This way you will have a good number of cool guys without having to fuck with any BS ratio. A master party list is nice, with names of those invited. You want the ratio of girls to guys about 2:1 (at least) this makes the girls compete for guys and attention instead of the other way around. Sausage fests should be avoided AT ALL COSTS! If it happens to you then END THE PARTY ASAP!
Not enough friends? Invite guys that are genuinely nice. They won't fuck you over by bringing too many dudes, and they are 'nice' so no pussy for them!
It is always very smart and worthwhile to have your good friends over early (some friendly girls too)... then when people get there... the PARTY'S ALREADY STARTED.. Otherwise HB's might leave right away and say "We're gonna get something to eat" etc..
8. Tell everyone different times to get there. You'll want to give certain groups of girls certain times to avoid cockblocking and conflict. Hoes come kinda late... Big hoes come when everyone else has left!
This means after everyone is gone.. call up all the girls again and try to get them to cum over again... to "hang out" (not in a sexual way unless they are known hoes... it's cool to just hang with cool chicks.. you could also say to smoke chronic or play a game like cards or candyland) don't hog all the HBs, if you notice a HB digs your friend, have him call. (Unless he's really bad with chicks) But DO mention to the HB in a totally subtle way that he (guy HB digs) is at the location.
It is very important that you schedule the arrival and departure of groups of girls. This should be a fuckin TOP priority. It helps to organize this by making a list of those invited.. plus a list helps you maintain the all important ratio of girls to guys.
9. DONT LET PEOPLE DRIVE TOO DRUNK... DON'T LET PEOPLE DRIVE DRUNK! TAKE KEYS IF YOU HAVE TO! YOU WILL KNOW IF THEY ARE TOO DRUNK!
10. Get there late (mid-party) by leaving right before people are supposed to start getting there and go pick up girls or liquor. Preferably you will come back with both arms holding liquor and HB's laughing on each side! Social Proof A L E R T! lol..
11. Have your trash cans extra lined with garbage bags and in plain view in strategic spots. Semi-hidden (or none) for smaller groups.
12. Keep moving around! Go from one group to another and leave on high notes! Wink at girls when they come in and smile at all guys. Be friendly to guys and end cockblocking and make yourself look good. Pat your guy friends on the back when you walk past. Brush up on all girls SUBTLy sometimes, when you walk by.
Read Craig's short set method. Seriously go read it.
13. Get your breakables and valuables tucked away. Leave doors locked to rooms that you don't want people to go in. Everyone knows how to pick a lock so hopefully you have a good lock..
14. When you drink a shot or a sip, ALWAYS drink it with at least one other person (preferably a chick) and ALWAYS do a cheers! Cheers with like 10 girls is ideal.. especially if you're the only guy ; )
This is a GREAT photo op! Having a couple disposables laying around is always a good idea.. you'll be glad a year after! I definitely am!
15. Watch the temperature, too hot or too cold is NOT ACCEPTABLE! Fires are always classy. Think like this.. if it's cold, girls wear more clothes, but people are more active.... if it's hot, liquor works better and girls wear less clothes, so find the middle ground... also if it is cold outside, make it HOT inside, and if it gets too hot open a door or window. Hot like a club is OK if it's cool outside.
16. If you have a tv then keep it off. I use the tv as a light source (cuz I like it dark and rowdy), NEVER HAVE THE TV VOLUME ON. Trust me. It robs potential dancers/party girls from partying, people will get lost in a tv show even if its a commercial... Keep the attention of the party on music and talking... Conversation is GOOD! If you have to, put on Music Videos (pornos later?) or Girls gone Wild (this is good if not in excess).
Before the party, change the settings on the tv by turning the brightness and sharpness wayy down.. Also, go through your tv menu and turn off the internal speakers, or turn off the sound. You could also erase all the channels from memory... HIDE the remote.
17. Have a lot of shot glasses and ice (bags of ice). I like to get shot glasses and mugs wet and then throw them in the freezer.. this produces a restaurant style frost finish. You can also wet bottles and throw them in the freezer... only do this for white liquors like vodka.
Beer pong is the shit! Have a lot of beer caps for CAPS.. girls go WILD!
18. Figure out the parking situation before hand. A lot of times we will make people park somewhere else and stuff into a car if they are all driving solo. This also helps keep the cops away.
Figure out the sleeping situation before hand... where can couples go off to fuck? In the middle of the party it happens alot. The last thing you want is a broken door or bed (both happen alot). So keep your bathtub clean. (popular spot..with good reason ; )
If you just want to have a few people over for a calmer evening.. play some cards.. ueker, spades.. strip poker? anyone?
If you know where a hot-tub is then have the party there. People ALWAYS get in.. make sure you do too! Boxers only if you want the chicks in with no suits. Also good place for threesomes.. or 1on1 action. (great for sex on the latenight tip) Skin is IN!
If you are short on cash, this is a good way to make money.. throw a keg 45$ and charge AMOGs 5$ and honeys 4$. Then mark their hand with a marker... get help with this or you will lose control. I always put the keg in a trash can full of ice and let the most experienced tapper tap it.
If people come that you don't like.. get a group of people to back you up (from a distance) and make those fuckers leave.. don't try and trick them.. "ohh the cops are on their way" No. Tell those mofos to leave... And, if they don't (from sheer embarassment of having all those people behind you they should've) then do something about it... pussy. You have to command respect at yur own fuckin party right? Word.
This will probably happen cuz the HB's always get hit up by the other alphas in the city trying to see what they are doing.
When you tell girls that you don't want them to bring guys without asking, say it's so you don't hurt anyone's feelings. But be fucking firm when you say no. Like sometimes the alphas on the phone can't "take the hint" that they are not invited.. (they know but they will try to bully their way in) so grab the HB's phone (she wants you to.. believe me) and politely tell ol' boy that he can come to your next party but not tonite.. if he asks why say cuz it's my house and I say so... respect that.. then hand the phone back to HB.
Next party do invite him but stipulate he has to get 2 girls for every guy (including himself) to come *with* him. (and girls that aren't already gonna be there!) Then he will realize you are a pua and things should go smoothly.. unless hes actually gay. <--(use that against him if need be)
That should really help anyone as these are THE tricks of the trade so to speak... Do this and you will become social proofed like a motherfucker and you will become popular and more outgoing... Beer wasn't mentioned because.. well this is how I feel about it. Beer is messy.
I grew up with a bunch of old cats, and learned my lessons early.
When I drink a beer, I drink the whole thing. The problem at parties is that no one finishes their beers. So you end up having a lot of half-full beers everywhere.. Beer gets spilled a LOT. Beer stinks when it's on your floor and everyone is stepping in it. Beer makes people (especially guys who drink more than girls) pee a lot. And unless you have multiple bathrooms, thats gonna be a problem that will hinder the atmosphere of your party.
You want the girls to be drinking.. If they drink beer, they won't drink that much at all. This is because they will stop after 1,2,3 becuase they will start to think they are getting fat. Like looking fat not actually gaining fat tissue. So they will stop.
If a girl is full on beer, there is less chance for dancing or other physical activity, and she will not get in the hottub if she is doubting the size of her beer belly.
But the biggest reason for me, to have liquor over beer, is because girls don't drink beer for the fuckin taste. They don't drink alcohol for the fuckin flavor. They want to lose their inhibitions (like the black eyed peas song retarded) and have a F-U-N time.
At the same time, most alcohol a lot of girls don't like. Ya, every now and then I'll chill with a girl who drinks what I drink (whiskey, rum, bourbon, vodka) and drinks it straight like I do, and that's always fun to go shot for shot with some hot chick who is also an alchoholic (like me).
So that's why it is very important to have good tasting liquor. There are many different choices, besides flavored beers (yuk!)... There of course is all the Smirnoff twist vodkas, which I recommend citrus, raspberry, and (NEW) strawberry. Apple is so-so.
For you younger cats... check out Puckers.. all flavors.
There is another type of flavored vodka that is 5-15$ more expensive that the hotties like too. Can't think of the name. You should see it at any LQ store tho.
Girls also like Captain Morgan.. it's only around 30% alcohol, and it's sweet for a liquor. If you are on a budget or would like to spice it up a little.. try Admiral Nelson's. This is a cheaper version of cap'n, and is sweeter.
If you want to know where the real fuckn ticket is at.. it's the mixed drinks.. this is the preferred drink to have available. Amaretto Sour!!! Hypnotic! Alizea!
Also, if you are having a day party in the summer or a pool-party, have plenty of margaritas, daquiris, and pina coladas.. Cancun style! No girl I know has ever declined one of those bad boys on a hot day.. Invest in a nice blender.
Now, for those of you who live in areas where girls are adamant that they want beer, there are a lot of smooth ones you should have available.. no Corona (I dislike)..
Get the "sweet" beers. Like honey brown, and a bunch of others.. Michelob ultra ultra light is a personal favorite. Ask bartenders or the guy at the LQ for a suggestion. Post here if you know of a good sweet mild beer.
If you are having liquor, make sure girls don't drink too much. It really makes me mad when I see a drunk girl on the floor or in the bathroom passed out. And I get even more angry when I see some jackass trying to take advantage of her. If this is going on, the good hot girls will leave. And you better go teach that punk a lesson in manners. Teach him good.
Oh ya, another thing me and my guy friends always thought was cool was to buy a bunch of canned beer for everyone, and then stash away some nice tall long boys. It's cool to walk around a party where everyone's drinking cans and have a bottle. Get a simple yet stylish keychain with a bottle opener.. don't use your teeth.
Plus, you never know when a fight will happen and a long-boy breaks easily over someone's head. It will break, and you won't kill anyone, believe me. NOTE: most of the time it doesn't knock them out. But it does knock them down. So follow it up if you really have too.
Remember to do as the RSD boys suggest and hold the bottle or can down at your waist.. you don't want it to be a barrier. You want to look open and relaxed.. MOVE SLOW.

Some VERY valuable tips here. I would also recommend keeping a bottle of a special alcohol (good vodka, wine, champage, etc) in your room so you have an easy reason to get them in there (and shut the door so no one else sees your "secret" bottle!).
Be sure to go around your neighborhood in advance and tell and invite ALL of the neighbors... even if you are SURE they won't come (yes, even the 80 year old lady). Also pass out your phone number and tell them to call you if it gets too loud. Better they call you than the cops.
Another thing I recommend is to get a bunch of big cardboard boxes and tape them down on the main "dance floor" area so your carpet doesn't get fucked.
I've personally found the best night is Saturday because then you have Friday night for extra promotion time at other people's parties. In fact, you'll usually find that most of the people who do show are people you saw and invited the night before.
I would also suggest making flyers for the hot girls and putting them in envelopes with their names on them... that is if you want to be GUARANTEED they'll show up. They will feel special if it looks like you planned in advance (but you really just have to bring a pen to Friday night's party with you... lol).
Don't be afraid to make outlandish claims on the flyers... "10 kegs and 2 DJs" will get a lot more people showing up than "Craig's Party"... and none of them will actually leave when they find out the truth. Also, NAME your parties... "The 4th Annual Pimp & Ho Ho Ho Xmas Cocktail Party" pulls a lot better than "X mas Party".
Oh, and wear a condom... lol

We had a big Project Sydney house-warming party a while back and it turned out awesome. Had a few hundred people wander through during the whole evening, I guesstimate.
What seriously worked:
1. Flyers as Craig suggested - but they gotta be coooooool. We live in a penthouse so mine looked like a penthouse-magazine cover. Smoooth.
2. Jelly shots. Lots. We had about 3 or 400 jelly shots prepared beforehand. And I made them STRONG - 50% alchohol. Chicks were hitting those down like there was no tomorrow. And get creative with your recipes - don't just make it all vodka. For instance: tequila + lime jello = margarita jelly shot.
3. Get a LIVE DJ if you can. 2 is better. Playing House or whatever is in fashion where you live. Most guys on here should know at least 2 or 3 friends who are DJs and like spinning at parties. Use them. I had to rent some decent speakers and an amp, but it cost me like $25. DJs will have their own decks, etc. Having this at our party wowed a lot of the chicks. Got lots of compliments for a cool party. And all of them danced.
4. Drop the beer as Craig suggests. Especially bottles / cans. It's a fucking waste of money - probably dumped like a gallon of beer down the drain the next morning.
5. At the end of the night people swipe bottles as they leave. Lock up your expensive alchohol. Or even better, get a bar pourer where you mount the bottles upside down and simply press your glass underneath to get a shot. Don't have full bottles just standing around on the table / counter.

I would also add that it's critical to be up front and direct with women in terms of what you want and where you want things to go. With respect to this Alpha Male business, I don't think that any guy should try and elevate himself into any area that he does not belong. His aura and who he is should simply come out on his own, by virtue of him just being there. His strength should come out on its own, the strength of character, his vision, like cold steel. In my expereince I have found no need to be funny, cocky or smart of otherwise anything I was not. When I get laid I am bold and direct in terms of what I want. If she has an issue with it, that is the time when it comes out and we can discuss whatever reservation and conditions she has for fucking. When I meet women I do the same, I tell them that I noticed them and that I would like to get to know her and that's it. If it's too much for them, then so be it. New Dating/Seduction Seminars & Workshop in Montreal by DOC!
Doc, who many of you know from his great interview here last time and all too rare but outstanding posts on this list, on Mystery's Lounge, and the Montreal Lair, is bringing his seminars and speed dating events to Montreal. Previously they were mainly held in Toronto as part of the Learning Annex, Doc is now setting it up here and plans to hold events on a monthly basis.

The events are Dating Secrets for Women, a 3 Hour seminar (cost $50) and Dating Secrets for Guys; a Guide to The Art of Dating (also 3 hours and $50). The fall calendar has a full weekend seminar and makeover. He also has 3 new books coming out this fall under the SETNA Dating Manual Series. Volume I (to be released this week) deals with the psychology of attraction, first impressions, and working on your inner game, Volume II (coming in September) deals with tactics and strategies to go from meeting her to dating her, and Volume III will deal with Managing Relationships.
Full-weekend Dating Makeover workshops will be offered soon (including a half day with a personal stylist, video tape analysis of body language, and live practice sessions with dating coaches beautiful women who will give the guys on the spot feedback on how they come across and what to improve). If there is a group of 10 or more guys interested in a seminar (or 5 guys for a workshop, he would consider making a special trip to their city).

Mystery Method Workshops:
What method are YOU using?
If you are opening groups (or sets: 2-sets, 3-sets, mixed sets, etc) of people with the 3 second rule by stacking indirect openers (including false opinion openers), false time constraining (discovered by Style), demonstrating a higher value to your romantic interest’s peer group with high octane DHVs while she obliquely observes (locking her into her own set with a prop), and simultaneously performing false disqualifiers (which include negs) on her with the intension of disarming her peergroup and then isolating her to rebuild her self-esteem once you have enough IOIs (indicators of interest) so you may share in a comfort and trust building effort and then build in a jealousy subplot to solidify her attraction for you, you are using The Mystery Method.
If instead you are only approaching women who are alone, you are greatly limiting your options and quite likely alienating your target's friends. Do you want a lonely woman (why is she lonely?) or a woman who already has a healthy social lfe? Truth is, healthy women have healthy relationships ... sometimes good friendships with guys. Like it or not, you will have to meet these women with men in her group.
