FR: Her last day at work!

I started a new maintenance job a few days ago at the horse-race tracks (Hippodrome de Montreal). Upon my arrival, I met two of my colleagues, this calm, reserved guy and this obese Gothic chick. I greet them very warmly and ask them a bit about the job.

As I turn my back to go see the supervisor, I notice this flaming hot chick (we'll call her Julia) walking in my direction. We're both walking in opposite directions and I ignore the shit out of her. I walk past her just looking at the horizon (that itself is a neg).

So now I'm at the point where I've already introduced myself to my first 2 team members but not the 3rd. I go see the supervisor for some work-pants and a shirt. I walk into the bathroom (it's a unisex bathroom in the garage) and she's in there.

Me: I believe you're the only one I haven't met. Here's the most romantic way for me to say hello to you, in the bathroom
Her: (she's crackin up)

I just get busy changing and I get to work.

The interesting thing is that as a communication tool, each of us (we're 4) is given a cell phone than only works with one-another's cell phone (i.e we can't make/receive calls to anyone else). The cell phones are marked M1, M2, M3, M4. None of us knows exactly who has which cell phone.

So I'm working with the dude who's showing me what the job is about since it's my first day. All of a sudden my phone rings. I pick it up and it's this girl.

Me: Hi, who's this?
Her: Um, it's Julia, is Frank working with you (Frank was the guy training me)
Me: Listen girl, you're not really calling to talk to Frank, the real reason you called is because you want to talk to me
Her: Haha, what are you talking about?
Me: It's ok to be honest with me, anyway listen I gotta get back to work (and I hung up in her face)!

At this point, Frank looks at me and he's like,

Frank: what did she want?
Me: I don't know. I guess she wanted to talk to you, but let her call you on your phone.
Frank: what did you tell her?
Me: I just teased and told her to stop calling me!
Frank: you know it's funny, because when I was downstairs she asked me where you were from (IOI)
Me: Haha, and what did you tell her?
Frank: Nothing, I don't know where you're from
Me: Good, if she asks tell her to come and ask me
Frank: Ok, but don't tell her I told you this.
Me: Don't worry bro, with women, silence is golden

I get back to work and a bit later, she takes her break. I had to go and replace her for her break-time. It was her last day and she took a longer-than-normal break.

When she got back:

Me: Haha, so we're special today huh? 5 minutes of work for 3 hours of break?
Her: What are you talking about!!

As I'm telling her this, I just turned my back to her and walked to the guys' bathroom. I go to one of the urinals and start pissing. All of a sudden I hear a voice behind me. I turn around and she's entered the guys' bathroom and she's like

Her: What are you talking about 3 hours of break?
Me: Listen baby, you don't have to make excuses for following me to the bathroom, if you want to watch while I'm pissing, you can just tell me that's what you want.
Her: Ya I'd like that (and she turns her back and leaves)

I'm like laughing my ass off at how AMAZING women are with their flirtatious comebacks.

As I walk out of the bathroom, she's working somewhere, and as I turn to quickly glance at her, she's looking at me from far. I stop and give her one of those looks with my fingers and my eyes like "I have got my eyes on you".

Get back to work and I ask my partner Frank if he can drive me to a Metro (subway station) but he says he's not going in that direction, I ask him if one of the girls has a car. He says yeah, I think Julia does. I say ok.

I'm rushing to finish work so that when I get there, she hasn't left yet. I get there at 12 am exactly and she's grabbing her handbag and she's about to leave (deep down though, I know this is complete bullshit, she FOR SURE was waiting for me).

As she's "pretending to leave" she walks into my direction (AI). I stop her and say:

Me: So you got a car ?
Her: Yeah..
Me: You know how to drive?
Her: Haha, yeah, but it's such an old car
Me: Haha, cool cool, one of those cars that makes fart noises when you drive
Her: Almost, there's no muffler
Me: Ok cool, drop me off at the Metro
Her: No problem
Me: I'm just going to the bathroom to change.

I tell her I'm going to the bathroom (this is the unisex bathroom) to change and the bitch rushes in the toilet stall before me and starts pissing.

Me: What the fuck dawg, I told you I'm going there, and you rush in there (in a playful pretending-to-be-angry tone)
Her: Haha, wait, I'm pissing
Me: (I walk in and start throwing water on her from on top of the toilet stall)

She comes out.

Her: You know, you're pretty annoying for your first day.
Me: I love to annoy you because although I don't even know you, I feel so comfortable (thinking back, I could have said something like "And you're pretty in love with me for your last day")

She leads me to where we have to punch out the cards and asks me questions like

Her: How old are you?
Me: Old enough to know not to answer that question
Her: 23? 22? 21?
Me: Something like that
Her: Seriously how old are you?
Me: You know what?
Her: What?
Me: What really matters for me...like how old are you
Her: 19
Me: What really matters for me is not even how old you are, I don't care about the actual number, I want to know if you think you're mature for your age
Her: Yeah I am
Me: You sure you are or you just say that?
Her: I am, the last guy I dated was 29
Me: 29 dude? Cooooool, you want a medal (I put my arm around her as I'm saying this)
Me: I like girls that are themselves, because some are stalkers, they call your phone because they want to talk to you and don't admit it, they follow you to the bathroom to watch you piss, they offer to give you lifts to the Metro, etc
Her: Hahahaha, omg

Anyway, we get to where we gotta punch out and we then head to her car.

Her car was a piece of shit, literally, she's says she's getting a new car in a few days. The place where you normally put your feet is packed with trash. There's like 8 inches of piled up trash (cans, chips bags, papers, etc).

We get into the car and she asks if I smoke as she takes out a cigarette. I don't smoke cigarettes, only shisha. She's trying to turn on the car and I stop her, I tell her

Me: Relax, enjoy your cigarette, I can definitely use some air (and I pull down my window), then we'll leave
Her: Ok
Me: Your car is such a mess, it would never work out between me and you, I like things nice and clean, I bet your place is even worse
Her: Nooo, my apartment is so clean
Me: You got your own apartment
Her: Yeah, my parents moved to Abitibi
Me: And you're apartment's clean?
Her: Yeaaa
Me: Good
Her: So you live alone?
Me: Whoa girl, slow down, you don't even know me and you already want to come over.
Her: Haha, what are you talking about?
Me: I don't live alone, I live with my fish, they have feelings too.
Me: Give me your cell phone
Her: (she gives it to me)
Me: OK, look let me teach you something, when you're falling in love with a guy, which is the situation right now, you don't make excuses for your desire, you ask him straight up, I'd like your number because I want you (as I do this, I punch in her number and call my cell to get her number)
Her: Haha, if you think I'm gonna call you, I won't
Me: Yeah, no more than 10 times a day

I look at my cell and I see her number

Me: Fuck that, on second thought, even your number looks like a stalker's number.
Her: Haha, it's a normal number
Me: Yeah ok, you're such a normal girl (sarcastic)

Anyway, we go on talking about certain things, our future goals in life. I tell her I respect what she's doing with her career, etc, that she's a more serious girl than I thought she was. We connect when I tell her I teach Salsa, she tells me she loves that kind of music...at this point I show genuine interest. Sometimes I feel like it's enough cocky funny because I actually want to get to know the person.

We get to the metro and as I leave, I give her a kiss on the cheek and I say , "Have a good night and don't think too much about me"

So that's it. I leave and I'm like, this is fucked up, I had a goal and I followed up on it and got to the outcome. Bear in mind, the total time spent with this girl was 5-10 minutes. I got a couple of IOIs from her (asking the dude where I'm from, keep asking my age, asking me if I live alone, following me to the bathroom, etc.)

I'm thinking to myself, I'm sure she won't call, but what should be my game plan?
As I arrive her, I get an SMS

Her (sms): You're very weird Razz
Me (sms): Thank you, I love you too!
Her (sms): I know you're crazy about me, Lol.

I didn't respond for half an hour.

Her (sms): How old are you?
Me (sms): Maybe I'll tell you when you take me out to that expensive dinner you promised.

I didn't get an answer to that one. I'll have to call her and bust on her again. Ask her if she got her new car and when she's planning on giving me a tour with it and taking me for ice cream.

The REAL Truth Behind the "Just Be Yourself" Hype

Have you ever heard the advice "Just be yourself" when it comes to dating
and attracting women?

You hear it in many different ways out there, some good, some well-meaning
but horribly damaging to your game.

Part of what I teach to men is HOW to be you without being the dorky,
unattractive you. That might sound like "be yourself," but it's not the
same.

The fact is that there are two different "you"s in there.

You #1: Is the awkward, anxious, insecure, poorly presented guy.

You #2: Is the cool, relaxed, confident, polished, Alpha Man.

Now, you can reconcile these, and I'm going to tell you more about this in a
minute, but the problem comes when others are telling you to adopt a bunch
of personality traits or behaviors that are too incongruent with your
SELF-IMAGE.

You see, the big revelation you need to know is that you will only succeed
to the level of your current SELF-IMAGE. How you see yourself determines
what you're able to actually accomplish.

As a friend of mine once said, "In a struggle between grit-your-teeth
perseverance and your self-image, your self-image will win EVERY time."

Sure, you can bulldog it for a while, but it becomes exhausting and taxing
on your nervous system. The fact is that if it's not FUN in some way for
you, odds are that you will NOT continue to do it. The pain barrier MUST be
broken through QUICKLY.

In the short term, you may have to 'just do it,' but long-term change
requires that you alter your image of yourself to make lasting changes.

So let's get back to the "Just Be Yourself" fallacy. Here's the Truth, as I
see it:

- You must adopt new habits and new behaviors to your lifestyle to turn the
Unattractive You #1 into the Cool You #2.

This is simply a process of becoming more socially aware. It starts with
projecting the parts of your personality that are attractive but hidden, as
well as snuffing out those parts of your personality that are UNattractive
and obvious.

- The new habits and behaviors you adopt cannot be in complete contradiction
to your current self-image (or too big a gap) or your mind will reject them,
like an organ transplant gone bad.

- On the other hand, if you try to be TOO much like yourself and you don't
get the success you are told you ought to get by being "yourself," your mind
starts to reject YOU as being inadequate. And your self-esteem plummets -
FAST.

So where the hell is the middle ground?

It's all in your head.

Chances are, you've done both of these strategies with mixtures of success
and failure. You've probably been "yourself," and you've probably also used
a lot of someone else's "techniques" to get you into the frame of the
"pickup artist."

The key here is simply making sure that you use the techniques and advice
given as a MODEL - an example of behavior that can work effectively - AND -
use yourself as the frame on which to build your New You. (Call it "You,
Version 2.0")

Remember this is a MODEL, not an IMPERSONATION. Impersonations are funny and
fake. Modeling is intelligent application of a real-world example.

Big difference.

So in order to be yourself and still improve, what has to happen eventually
is this:

- You use some of the pickup techniques out there in a way that is congruent
to your own personality - while being careful to not dismiss something just
because you've never tried it before.

- As you use them, you find ways of integrating the beliefs of this model
INTO YOURSELF. It's no longer "fake" or "weird" because you UNDERSTAND
application and have integrated the model into your personality. Now it's
becoming REAL.

The reality is that for you to change and improve your skills with women,
you must EXPAND your current self.

This is commonly known as "growing."

There is only growing or dying. There is no such thing as sitting still.

If it was simple and easy and comfortable, everyone would be doing it. But
they're not. So there's your advantage.

Are you willing to expand your self-perception? Are you ready to grow beyond
your current self-limiting beliefs?

Are you ready to be all that you can be?

Then it's time to get busy.

"He isn't a man who's trying to be liked."

Just think of somebody that fits that description. The guy who just doesn't care about if girl that sees him, likes him or not. He doesn't try to be nice or liked. He is himself.

Most of us are trying to be liked, trying to be something, trying to project a certain image that fits right in to what we think a woman might want. Are you a man who is trying to be liked? When you look at a girl, do you think "does she likes me?" or do you think more like "she is cute." When you are doing an approach, if you might try to be funny or try to make some special action that you would normally not do, this means you trying to be liked. When you do actions or say things that fit with your personality, then you are being yourself.

What often happens on a subconscious level is that we do something motivated by external factors. For women as well as for men. When a woman makes a scene in a restaurant and screams, she is trying to get sympathy (aka trying to be liked) for herself. When a guy starts talking to a woman about his car or starts asking lots of chain questions to show that he wants to learn more about her, it comes off as fake, unless the guy asks it because he is ACTUALLY interested in her and those questions.

Patterns and routines work well at night, but fail miserably in daytime.

Why?

Because women are trying to be liked when going out at night, in fact some of them judge how attractive they are by the amount of guys that approach them – they often want to be liked more so than guys. While in the daytime her mind is open and she is not trying to be anything (aka be liked) and therefore will take you at your face value.

Why am I able to take a woman's number in 30 seconds and then get a date the day after?

Because if I am being myself, then I don't care if she likes me or not. I will be myself regardless of what she thinks. I'd like to see if I like her, not if she likes me. I am not looking for approval. Try taking a number from a woman in 30 seconds at night and then get a date… it won't be happening, unless you look like Brad Pit and have charisma of James Bond. You need to spend a lot more time at night, convincing a girl that you like her. What if you don't want to try to be liked, what if you don't want to impress? Well, then you are screwed because at night you have to play the mind game. When you try to be liked, you start exuding a certain energy of neediness. Neediness is much more visible during the daytime, when the woman is sober and has the ability to pick up on any incongruence within your body language and your tone of voice. Which are also much more pronounced in a guy in the day time because he is not drunk as well.

Think of some guy you know who has women crawling all over him. Obviously, he is successful with women, yet he just doesn't care, she either will like him or not. That's because he is not trying to be liked, he is just himself. It shows even when you see a very hot woman near you and you start thinking "does she like me?" You see -- You are already trying to be liked. Now everything that you do and tell her will follow from this mindset of "does she like me?" (a.k.a "I care.") Guess what? No, she doesn't like you. You are not a man who is not trying to be liked. You are a wussy. Just like any other guy who comes up to her hoping to score. If you are a man, sex comes easy and you don't try to be liked. You are being yourself and you take what you want, you say what you want and you walk away from what you don't want. There are no discrepancies. No fakeness. You are being real to yourself and women feel it.

The reason I took up my journey of meeting and dating was because I was tired of hoping and not being able to be myself. I also didn't want to play games, I figured there had to be more to it. I was always afraid that women might not like me. When I cut off that need for self-validation and stopped trying to be liked, I was much happier and much more successful, because I was able to be me and women appreciate and hunger for it.

One thing to consider is that women in general tend to internalize everything. Everything that happens is about them. Thus, if mini-me goes to sleep on the job, the woman will think in the back of her mind that it is her fault. That:
· You think she’s fat
· You think she’s too skinny
· You think she’s a slut
· You think she’s not open enough
· She is too into sex
· She’s not into sex (enough)
It doesn’t really matter – because a woman’s emotions are so convoluted that they don’t even understand themselves. But rather than to get upset or apologetic about your stiffie (or lack thereof), consider that the woman is not thinking, “What a loser, he can’t even get it up.” Well, the occasional HB might go there. But generally, the woman takes it personally. And, if you freak out about it, it makes it even worse.
