I'm really glad you wrote in with this question, because it illustrates a really important point about women that I talk about all the time -- every woman is different.

Of course we read everywhere that MOST women prefer oral sex to intercourse or anything else, but the reality is no two women are exactly alike, and the true gift is learning how to push the buttons of the woman that you are with.

Which you have done.

But now let's take a look at how we can make it even better!

First of all, your wife's preference is not uncommon and it probably comes from her own experience of making herself come for the first time when she was first becoming sexually aware and began masturbating.

The "whole hand" thing is the way most women begin touching themselves, because they usually don't know much themselves about their own anatomy. They just find what feels good.

The easiest way to do that without probing around too much is with a broad surface to touch herself.

After a while, she just blueprinted this idea on herself that THIS is the way she has an orgasm.

The first thing I'm going to ask the two of you to do, is really work on changing your attitude about love-making.

WHAT TRUE INTIMACY MEANS FOR A WOMAN

Women almost universally say that they crave “Intimacy”. And the world is literally filled with propaganda as to what this means for a woman.

In my opinion, when it comes to sex and intimacy, most men have this completely ass-backwards. I deduce this from two areas:

1. Watching the way society says intimacy should be sought, observing AFCs acting it out, and observing both AFCs and their female partners grow increasingly frustrated. To me, this is an easily observable frame and I see it all the time with couples who are out having a supposedly “intimate” dinner together.

2. Feedback I get from the women I’ve been intimate with. You’ll note that a lot of this feedback, by definition, is not the “sitting around the fire” type of chit chat. It is very verbal in the form of the SEX TALK I get and it is very EXPLICIT.

Attraction + Comfort + Logistics = Sex. When you hear a woman talk about “intimacy”, consider that she means a real, deep connection with the man at every phase here.

Attraction. You are an attractive man and you know it. The same way a beautiful woman knows it; not the way a try-hard thinks he knows it. This means you are not phased by her looks; you can really adore her looks but you can “see past” her looks. She’s feminine. She’s vulnerable. Most men she interacts with haven’t even the capability of seeing past her looks.

You might need to use C&F or a neg or two to demonstrate this sometimes. But as for negs, view those as training wheels; they are mere demonstrations that you are not phased by her looks. The next level for you is to bypass “looks” as an issue that need any compensatory tactic at all. From experience, I can say that this happens automatically when the company of beautiful women becomes routine for you. As in, only with experience and time.

Comfort. Comfort is all about having her trust you. Trust that you can:

When a woman who is with a man that can execute all of the above in a confident way, she can say say she feels intimate with him. Why? Because he is relating to her as a woman, in a way that almost no other man does. She will get the feeling that she is with a man who finally understands her.

What Intimacy Is Not
- Intimacy for a woman is not when you pour out your heart to her. That’s you looking to her for comfort. It will repel her. As a heterosexual woman she will not feel sexually attracted towards a man who needs her to generate comfort. She might feel maternal only if she has enough affection towards you.

As many PUA's are aware, many of the top guru's have referenced this book at some point or another - Mystery, RJ, Style, David D - just to name a few. And after reading the whole book again at this point in my PU life, I can easily see where many of them developed a lot of their concepts from it. This is not a book recommendation, but seriously, read the damn thing already if you haven't!

Maybe this could clear some things up.

In Chapter 2, Cialdini talks about the reciprocation rule. Basically, the rule is if you do something for me, you will expect that I eventually do something for you back. It is human nature derived from evolution where people found survival much easier when they shared resources with others.

However, what has been found, is that if you do something for me, I will feel the need to not only to repay the resources, but to CONTINUE to repay even to the point where it is no longer equal. Cialdini says that compliance professionals have become quite adept at exploiting this.

He references the Hare Krishna, who, after being low on funds, would give 'free' flowers to passers-by at airports, only to then ask them for a small 'donation' in return. How many of us have grown weary of the free lunch or realized that nothing in this world is for free.

He even quotes a female student of his who always refuses guys who ask her if they could buy her a drink because she feels that if she accepts, she feels that through the rule of reciprocity, that she would have to 'give back' by becoming sexual with him. That she would be 'indebted' to him.

So, for the guys who offer dinner, drinks, gifts - they are basically offering, through the rule of reciprocity, trading resources for sex.

What this means for us PUAs:

It means nothing, and a lot. Many of us use the advice of offering her 'I'll pay for this, you pay for the next thing we do.' I fully agree with this method for a lot of reasons. First, instead of trying to receive sex from her as something that we 'get' and they, the women 'give', we are still simply trading resource for resource, while at the same time, we are building our RELATIONSHIP together that we both can SHARE.

Sex is something that we both enjoy together, and is an expression of our feelings, attraction, comfort, etc.

Resources are simply resources.

At the same time, as many have pointed out, it's important that we do not appear 'cheap' by not paying. If we do not have resources to give, then we cannot protect our offspring later on.

So, for me, it doesn't matter who pays what, what matters is the FRAME. The FRAME for me that works, or rather that converts to lays or relationships or whatever, is that the girl and I are in this thing together. If she drives to come see me, I'll pay for the dinner. Then she can pay for desert, etc. It's a shared world that we are creating where not one person has more valuable sex to give than the other. The sex will flow naturally when it is time, and it is something that we will share, when it feels right. Ironically, sex comes much quicker with this attitude.

In other words, I wouldn't worry about who pays what for when. That concept was a big one for me when I first read David D's stuff four years ago. Now that I understand the theory behind it, that rule is changeable depending on the circumstance. It is not 'supplicating' if the girl has already invested her resources in me.

In other words, focus on the FRAME of the interaction rather than the little bitty details.

Is it ON? Are you CONNECTING on a wide range of topics? Are you switching locations seamlessly and effortlessly? Does it feel like you've known each other forever?

Focus on that stuff. The rest is chump change.

I hope this clears things up. At least, this is the way it works for me.

Eradicating the Root of Male Neediness

Many of the guys I work with come to me thinking that what they seek is more attention and more intimacy from the opposite sex. They think if they could just get that one girl, they would be happy. Problem is, the “If I could only…” attitude is one that affirms lack and therefore creates need. Nothing can block us from what we seek more than need. Need disallows room for curiosity, creativity, and flexibility – the three things that can bring us more of what we want.

These guys sometimes find that as their success increases, your definition of success changes as well and may even create more need. Whereas before, a simple smile from a woman made them feel good, now they need to see her again and so forth.

There is so much talk out there about not trying to the point where we “Try not to try.” This also is a dead end road. If you are trying, you are not doing.

So then, people continue to ask me: “How do I get rid of neediness?” It almost seems like a riddle. But it is possible and it is simpler than you might think.

First, many of the guys who come into a study of the social arts do so hoping to increase their success with the opposite sex. Sounds simple and easy, right? At face value it is. However as warriors we cannot stop there, we must question deeper.

I find that to many of those guys, the notion of wanting more women is really a means to wanting more of a feeling. It is a symptom, if you will. It is not an end in itself, it is the way they think they can get more of what they really want.

What is it that they really want? People do not seek things per se, they seek emotions and feelings. We want to feel good about ourselves, we want to feel confident, and we want to feel as though we are part of something bigger. The activities in which we engage are ways that we believe will bring us more of the feeling.

Sometimes it works…to a degree. But it never works if that feeling creates a new high, raises the bar, and drives us to need more and more of it. And when we don’t get it, we feel the opposite of those good feelings. Consider the scenario:

So how do we then eradicate neediness?

Well one way might be to find alternate ways to get more of the feeling we seek but ultimately that would also be fragile.

The key lies in understanding what it is that we really want rather than what we think we want.

In my experience, most of the men I work with are primarily looking for one thing: Validation of their masculinity.

In a society that discourages men from being men and women from being women and provides no rites of passages and positive role models, it can be really easy to get lost in our search for what it means to be a man. It can be easy to think that more sex and even aggression can bring us more masculine validation. In our search for more masculinity, it can become easy to forsake subtlety and gentleness in favor of such things as cocky funny and alpha male behaviors which may make us think we are becoming more masculine.

The real way to eradicate neediness and become more masculine is to shift the stimulus we seek as validation of our masculinity into a new paradigm. What would it be like if you really didn’t need sex, you could be a genuinely nice and caring person, and you could still have all the positive virtues of a man? What if this new you could be far more attractive to women than you ever thought possible? Well, it is possible.

The first step is to redefine your understanding of the masculine and all that it can be. David Deida provides us a nice start:

The essential Masculine style of search is that of the warrior, the hero, or the visionary. The Masculine force is one-pointed, directional, and guided by a vision of freedom. Masculine energy cuts through any obstacles that are in its path. Nothing deters the Masculine from its goal of freedom. However, not every man uses his Masculine energy to search for freedom in the same way.

Then, we must transfer what validates us from something outside ourselves that is characterized by fragility to something internal that is unshakeable. When we are internally centered, we don’t get caught up in the ups and downs of needing, getting, and needing more that an external source of validation provides. A great way to do this is to get our priorities in order. When we shift our primary validation from something external such as how women respond to us to something internal and higher such as a spiritual practice, our entire experience of life transforms.

Now we no longer need to furiously pursue the latest technique in search of more and greater success. We, like Deida states, can abide in the freedom of the warrior’s quest – the freedom that allows us to open to all of our resources unencumbered by need and draw from our curiosity, creativity, and flexibility. Our sense of who we are as a man is no longer in question and is no longer in the hands of women. It is our own. Whether a woman (or anyone) responds to us favorably or unfavorably is her issue and not ours. We are free to just be and free of need for the latest tactic, tool, or technique that can make things go our way.

In fact, we can begin to realize that control at all is an illusion and that the only thing we can control is ourselves. We can let people be who and where they are because we are comfortable being who and how we are.

And as a side result, when and as we do this, we curiously also find our attraction from the opposite sex to skyrocket. We are free of need and therefore are free to get more of what we want and in this unhindered state of being, we exude those qualities that women strongly respond to but are absent in so many men.

And it is this freedom that really characterizes our search for the masculine.

Years ago, I wrote an essay called The Essence of Enlightened Seduction . The concepts and ideas I expressed there are central to my philosophy and my beliefs, and have been for a long time. Over the years, although my ideas, my plans, and my adventures have changed and surprised me, that essence is still what rings true to me today.
The Seduction Community arose as a response to a very real need; men feel lost and bewildered in the dating environment today. Every day, somewhere in the world, some guy turns 19, and some guy gets divorced. Where do these men turn for answers? Where do they meet women? How can they be truly themselves and sincere when everyone else is playing games? With all the misogyny and mistrust and manipulation that underscores the majority of our interactions today, no wonder men and women everywhere are searching for real intimacy and connection.
And there are no messages for men. All the dating and relationship advice that is available out there is flawed. We know this. It does not work in this day and age. This is why the Seduction Community arose on the earth. I personally know, and am friends with, most major "dating gurus" in the world. These leaders of the Seduction Community, spirited and visionary, responded to a real need—this dearth of dating advice—and created new pathways for men to explore.
Were these new pathways always successful? Depends on how you define success, I suppose. Men were being taught how to harvest numbers, but not necessarily how to be more attractive, or how to be real men: standing on the earth and unapologetic for their masculinity. Men were learning how to approach women, they were learning how to get phone numbers, and they were learning how to be more interesting. But what then?
There was a great deal of instruction on how to pick up women, but virtually no instruction on how to create real intimacy, real chemistry or real passion, let alone how to maintain a relationship. Men were being taught the practical aspects of charm and charisma. And this is good, of course. But what was missing from a lot of the instruction was the soul of charm and charisma. In other words, why certain things work, why certain things you say or do will gain a favorable response from women. They were learning how to do more, but not how to be more.
Men want and need very practical advice, things that make sense to them and that they can apply in their life immediately and every day. In this respect, the instruction was very good. Even women would agree that it is not a bad thing for a man to learn how to be more fun, better dressed, and a better conversationalist.
But the Seduction Community, from its inception, immediately took the path of a quick fix… a "How to get her in bed in three easy moves" type of thing. The emphasis was solely on techniques and tricks. For this, the Community received a lot of well-deserved criticism. But the need was real, the response was real, and there was a kind of, well, honesty in the seed that gave rise to the Seduction Community, an honesty that still needs to be extracted and distilled.
We are men without passion and purpose, which is the only thing that will make us truly attractive to women. When we move toward the things in our life that have heart and meaning to us—no matter what the cost—attraction is automatic. Phone numbers are everywhere, and women of beauty are always in our life. This is grace. This is modern masculinity. And this is true attraction.
It is time for change. I believe there is a next level of interaction between men and women that wants to be created on this earth. A Seduction Community 2.0, in a sense. We have hit the boundaries of what it is possible to explore. Like the early adventurers, crafting rickety canoes and rafts with tenuous sails, we have ventured out into the unknown sea and gone as far as these early vessels could take us. To explore further, to discover new lands, to be true treasure hunters, we need faster and better ships.
So consider this forum to be the clarion call for this new level of interaction.
We are not going to tread the same ground here as before. There are heavily populated forums all over the world that discuss the techniques and jargon of the old version of the Seduction Community. There is no need for this forum to duplicate what has gone before.
This is not a place for disrespect. This is not the place to post "lay" reports. Although we are interested in hearing the details of your interactions with women, your conversations, the things you did and the things you learned, we are not interested in your exploits. None of us have anything to prove here. We are men, interested in being men, interested in a better conversation. As mentioned, there are plenty of highly trafficked forums out there that allow, and even encourage, that type of discussion.
We used to have the sense of community. We used to believe in ceremony. We used to gather together around fires and tell the stories of the day. We used to connect. And we have lost this from the earth. This is what we are doing here. We are men, gathering together, fascinated and curious about the beauty and art that is women.
This is the essence of natural game...

To clarify, I think you mean Will H. from the many DYD programs, though he doesn't actually work for DYD.
Anyway, having met and hung out with Will many times in person, he is one of the coolest, most laid back and funny people I have ever met.
He is also one of the top guys for approaching that I have ever seen. I have only seen him get a bad reaction once, and he was going for that on purpose so that he could turn it around later (which he did and number closed the girl).
He came to Boston last summer for an event called the 'Supermodel Tour' and between him and me, we number closed all the finalists, even though there was competition there from New England Patriot football players :-)
Formhandle and I also hung out with him in Montreal, and to this day keep recalling some of the cool approaches he did on the street there.
I don't know if he is still doing private bootcamps, but a friend of ours here in Boston took one, and met a girl during the bootcamp that he is still dating now almost a year later, so the results there speak for themselves.

Recently I received an email from Tony, the author of the Layguide:

Ever since I put LayGuide online in 1999, I have never e-mailed a single LayGuide member about anything. I have now decided to write you my first e-mail, since I think the information I am about to give you is important enough.

A while back I was asked to contribute my best tips to an upcoming book which would feature the best dating advice by experts from around the world. It was devised as a sort of competition between the top players to see, who can dish out the best techniques and strategies. The book is now ready and is called "Instant Attraction" - but instead of telling you that this compilation is the "holey-moley end-all best thing since sliced bread", I am now going to give you my step-by-step BRUTALLY HONEST review of the whole package, the authors it features and what I think of the advice they give.

So here goes.

It certainly took me a while to read and listen through it all. I'll start with the main 430+ page ebook and will tackle the authors one by one in the order in which they are presented in the book.

1. Rion Williams - good general theory, though I would have preferred a bit more practical advice to go with his theories.

2. Marius Panzarella - good advice.

3. Matt Carbone - excellent advice! Good enjoyable writing plus his advice is right on the money. One of the highlights of the package!

4. Mark Geiger - absolutely horrible advice. His suggestions read like a checklist of things to be avoided. At times it felt like the whole thing was written by a woman since only women have been known to give comparably bad dating advice to men (I don't mean to be rude to all the female dating experts out there but unfortunately that has been my experience). Most of the suggestions can be labeled either as "how to be a wussy boyfriend" or "how to be a good husband", however neither have little to do with meeting and attracting women, which should be the focus of this book.

5. Giuseppe Notte - good theory and practical tips. Maybe a bit too many tips on what NOT to do, which is somewhat out of place in a setting where the author has been asked to provide only his very best tips, but solid advice nevertheless.

6. Tony Clink - Well that's me. I participated by contributing 28 of my best tips, most of which are NOT included in LayGuide and which I wrote specifically for this package. I personally think they rock. I hope you like them as well and will find them useful:)

7. Will Hicks - superb advice, he really knows his stuff. Highly recommended, another highlight of the program!

8. Mark J Ryan - good advice, lots of example stories.

9. Elena Petrova - She gives advice on how to date Eastern European and Russian women. At first I was taken aback, since I've never really been comfortable with the idea of dating someone from overseas (I do not believe in long distance relationships), especially from an economically less developed country. Then again, I do live in one of those Eastern European countries myself and date Eastern European women exclusively, so I tried to keep on open mind to see what this author had to say about the issue. To my surprise her advice is very sound and true. If you consider dating Eastern European women a possibility, I would highly recommend the advice. And even if you're not interested in dating women from abroad, there is still a lot of good general theory explaining the dating game in here.

10. Cucan Pemo - starts out with a lot of confusing New Age stuff about Expanding Vortexes of Energy Exchange, Channeling Cosmic Energies, Communicating with the Universe etc. Not my cup of tea really. If it works for some, great. But unless you are a New Age buff, you will find this a frustrating read. Compounding the problem is the fact that the author is a woman and women are notoriously bad at giving dating advice to men. The advice she's giving improves a bit towards the end and she even presents some good general theories here and there, but overall it is a tiresome read.

11. Carlos Xuma (audio program) - At the very beginning he takes solid ideas but seems to present them in a somewhat twisted manner. Things improve though and the latter part of the audio program offers solid, strong and applicable tips. Overall the info is well worth the listen.

And here are the bonus books:

* Giuseppe Notte - good general tips, though some are recycled from the main book and others are actual lovemaking tips, which I think are usually the scope of other kinds of guides, but that's just my personal opinion:)

* Simon Heong - his two bonus books offer good basic info.

* John Alexander - very strong good psychological information. Also good practical tips. Highly recommended, one of the highlights!

* Martin Merrill - good info on humour and making women laugh. He mostly plugs his own book on the subject, but also gives some good tips.

(Also some additional bonus books have been added recently and although I haven't read them yet, judging from the rest of the material I'm assuming they follow the same general theme of good advice).

So overall what do I think of the package? The advice by Matt Carbone, Will Hicks and John Alexander is absolutely top notch. I'd like to think that my tips are some of the best as well:) Also the advice by Mark J Ryan, Carlos Xuma, Giuseppe Notte, Rion Williams and Marius Panzarella is very good and the advice by Martin Merrill, Simon Heong and Elena Petrova is strong. On the flipside Cucan Pemo gives very confusing advice and Mark Geiger's advice reads like a checklist of things to avoid. As you can see though, I think the good far outweighs the bad and the package is definitely worth a download.

While I leave to go pee, my student begins to chat to her. A few moments later, I return to find my student, the Irish girl and her husband all chatting at the bar. This is great! I tell her "I wish you had sent me to the ladies restroom…them men's was horrible".
Everyone laughs.
My student and I chat, we vibe, we laugh and we tell stories. Two hours and many jokes and good times later we have just made two new friends. Real ones!
We are invited to their wedding. Then the nice pair introduce us to other people in the bar, which is really coming to life now. The girl goes further though and offers to set my student up with one of her hot single friends. Deservedly so- we are the most fun and genuine people she'd ever met!
And that's what charisma is about….its about choice! (And fun!)

My approach to seduction is different, however, first, although I prefer the natural and direct method, I don't believe you should limit yourself to one method of seduction (be it indirect, direct, or natural). I've been out with some of the best guys, both in and out of the community, and I can tell you that every single one of them does a mixture of all three, despite what they may tell you.

And I believe that the game is first played by yourself. The more you like yourself and the better you develop your self image and internal beliefs, the better your results will be in the long run. Did you know that statistically we end up with partners who are similar to ourselves in self esteem, attitudes, and personality? It makes sense doesn't it, that you should first fix and enable what is on the inside first before working on the outside and thus this is my approach to coaching and what I do is different from most other guys.

Over the years my bandmates and I developed songs using NLP that helped steer the women in the audience where we wanted them to go. I Live in Toronto, Canada and coincidentally, so does Michael W. I subscribed to his Free Newsletter. but read it for a while and quite frankly the guy made a lot of sense. I also subscribe to a number of other newsletters from most of the well known PUA’s in this industry, so I had something to compare his information to.

There are so many different techniques and methods for meeting women, for getting them in to bed, etc…..Meeting them online, that it really boggles the mind!

Holy Smokes, which method really works, which one should I use?

Well, let me share my experience and tell you what worked for me and how glad I am to have found this method.

First off, I must say that prior to learning anything, and having just come out of 25 year marriage, I had 0 pick up skills, and everything I was doing to meet new women, was the WRONG thing. You might say I was your proverbial “Nice Guy”.

For the few dates I had (and I was not picky..big mistake!) I did the usual dinner and movie routine. I also utilized some of the online dating services, and met a few women this way. Unfortunately, my results were not the best. One date, and that would be it, and I would be out another $100+ or so. (Being a “Gentleman”, I always insisted on paying). As far as any further “Action”. Nada. Never happened.

So, you can imagine by now, I was ready to try anything to improve my Social skills in this area.

I downloaded the Dating Wizard’s ebook, which laid a basic foundation for the principles involved. Oddly enough, the book itself was not about techniques for picking women up, but about developing the right attitude to use towards approaching a women, so that when you do, she is not likely to bite your head off, but actually want to talk to you! How about that?

Well, I had some success with what I learned from the ebook, but it still was not enough, as now I was ready and preparing myself to develop skills.

Michael was offering a weekend Seminar to teach more advanced skills, right here in Toronto, so I decided to take that, and learned even more.

There is a lot to said from hearing it from the horse's mouth, and being able to ask questions directly in an informal classroom setting, and getting them answered. I can highly recommend this to anyone.

I don’t care how many routines, or lines you memorize, when it comes to meeting attractive women, you better have your whole act together. I mean how you dress, how you talk, your demeanor, and so many other subtle things, and unsaid things, that a woman can pick up on. A bullshit game can only last so long, and eventually you are going to get found out. Whereas, if you actually have REAL GAME, and substance, and integrity. Well, that is going to get found out too, and it will make you all the more attractive.

I would like to say also, that this is a never ending learning process, but I am proof that you can and will get better over time with a concerted effort. There really is no magic pill here. You must take the time and effort to learn the skills involved. Any one that tells you otherwise, is not being entirely truthful.

Well, that is enough of my rant here. I sincerely wish all you guys seeking the skills to attract and pickup women the best of luck. I know it may seem daunting at times, but don’t give it up! Just get out there and do it.
